Therefore, it comes from virtue. If this body craves pleasure and clings to it intensely, then even the entire earth cannot satisfy its desires. Just as King Mandhata, even though he ruled Jambudvipa (the southern continent), was not satisfied. Even after obtaining dominion over the four continents, he even gave half of Indra's seat, but he was still not satisfied, and because of his great desire, he fell. If you desire something difficult to obtain, you will become exhausted, and the desired thing will not be accomplished. Whatever can or cannot be accomplished, without hope, its perfection is inexhaustible. Do not allow the body of the five aggregates to act arbitrarily, otherwise the desire for the five objects will increase. It is best not to grasp even the object of desire, because attachment to it will not arise. Explaining the reason for not clinging to one's own body: Whatever it is, it will eventually turn to ashes. One's self is without movement, and is moved by the life-breath. Why do you cling to this impure body as self? If it is not applied to the Dharma, then this body is an inanimate object, no different from a clod of earth, whether alive or dead, what is the use of it? If it is said to be the basis of pride, alas! Alas! Pride! Why do you enter a realm that is not bound? Clinging to the body is meaningless, it only accumulates suffering. Like wood, it does not know greed or hatred. Even if I feed it with sumptuous food and drink, it does not love me. Even if vultures and others devour it, it does not hate them. What is the use of clinging to such a thing? If someone insults this body, I get angry. If someone makes offerings to it, I am happy. If it does not know, then for whom am I tired of being angry and then clinging to it? If someone desires this body, then he is also my friend, what more can I say? All beings desire their own bodies, why are they not my friends? If love arises from the reason of desiring one's own body, then other beings also desire their own bodies, so they should also become friends, but this is not the case. Briefly explaining the exchange of self and other: If you do not abandon attachment to yourself, you cannot accomplish the benefit of sentient beings. Therefore, I give up this body without hesitation to benefit sentient beings. Therefore, even though it is the source of many faults, it should be used like a vessel. Ting

Without clinging, afflictions cannot be destroyed, so worldly actions are meaningless. The wise follow the Buddha, because they practice his conduct. As stated in the fourth chapter of "Words of Mindfulness," one should remember and dispel sleep and drowsiness. Therefore, this is to summarize briefly, in order to destroy afflictions and cognitive obscurations. One should properly place the mind on suchness, turning away from the net of non-path thoughts, without interruption from the stated aim. The eighth chapter of the commentary on the meaning of the chapter on meditation, called "Distinguishing the Special." From which surpassing, not even the gods, all will become only blind. Like a net in the ocean, also abandon wonderful things. If that profound, great fruit Dharma treasure is not there, by the kindness of the lama, I will enter into undying suffering. Without wisdom, meditation does not arise. Without tranquility, meditation does not arise either. When someone has both of these, then for them, the ocean of existence is like a hoofprint. Having said this, meditation was taught, and then wisdom was taught, which are the limbs and so forth. The giving and so forth that are taught here are represented by this. It is the cause of generating limbs. These were spoken by the Thubpa (Buddha) for the sake of wisdom. Because it focuses on emptiness, wisdom is excellent. For that reason, because wisdom is the most important. Because giving is a limb of the accumulation of merit, it is the cause of attaining enlightenment. That too, if adorned with ethics, then possessing the resources needed to enjoy happiness and pleasure, it is the cause of unsurpassed wisdom. Patience is the antidote to its opposite, which is the antidote to anger. That too will not arise without diligence. Meditation is a limb of the accumulation of wisdom, and if one has samadhi, one will realize it as it is. Giving and so forth also, without wisdom, cannot lead to Buddhahood, and will not even obtain the name of pāramitā. In the Madhyamakāvatāra also, it says: Just as a person with eyes willingly leads all the groups of blind people to whatever place they desire, here, those without eyes, led by qualities, go to the victory of wisdom. Thus it was said. In the Praise of Non-Conceptuality, it says: You, who are blameless and without stain, are the other shore.
