Those are wishing happiness for others, because sentient beings are pure in nature and possess the essence of Buddhahood. For example, what is the use of saying much? Those who are attached to their own benefit are ordinary beings, and the difference between them and Shakyamuni Buddha, who only accomplishes the benefit of others, is that we should strive to practice exchanging self and others. If someone does not want to become a Buddha and is attached to the happiness of samsara, even so, if they do not exchange their own happiness for the suffering of others, then where will they find the happiness of gods and humans? Let alone the next life, even the visible benefits of this life will not be accomplished. If the master does not pay wages, and the worker does not work, then the interests of both parties will not be accomplished. Knowing full well, but out of ignorance, creating wrong actions, abandoning the creation of mutual happiness, what is that like? Abandoning the cause of perfect happiness in this life and the next, instead mutually creating the cause of hell, enduring suffering, it is truly foolish! The harm within and without is samsara, suffering and fear are samsara, all of which arise from self-grasping. Therefore, what is the use of self-grasping? It is like eating poison with one's own hand. So, this self-grasping exists in all sentient beings, even birds, because they run away when they see arrows and stones being thrown. Self-grasping is consciousness, therefore its object of knowledge is only the self. Regarding this, the consciousness that expresses it is of two types: with conceptualization and without conceptualization. Among them, without conceptualization, it arises because it focuses on the object of knowledge, so it will not arise without it. Self-grasping is conceptualization, it arises even without an object. Otherwise, if one thinks "I am the king," will one become the king? Therefore, if you do not abandon self-grasping, you cannot abandon suffering. For example, if you do not abandon fire, you cannot abandon its heat. In brief summary, therefore, in order to pacify the suffering of oneself and others, I offer my body to all sentient beings as the basis for self-grasping. In this way, self-grasping can be reversed, a collection of merit will arise, and the sins of harming sentient beings from beginningless time will also be exhausted. Others should be regarded as oneself. After offering the body, one should practice like treating one's own beloved child in one's heart. Alas! Mind, give to others, give to others, give to others, be happy that "I belong to others!"

Look! Therefore, starting from today, you should only think for the benefit of all sentient beings, and not for anything else. Attachment to oneself is not non-virtuous. Do not look at anything for your own pleasure, because that will lead to attachment to pleasant objects and anger towards unpleasant ones. If one does not look, it is because it is for the sake of giving to them (sentient beings). The word "etc." indicates hearing sounds etc. with the ears etc. For one's own sake, one should not move one's hands etc., because that will lead to killing, stealing, and engaging in improper sexual conduct. Being under the control of others, therefore, approaching for the benefit of others, taking whatever one sees from one's own body and giving it to others. This will eliminate attachment to things and arrogance. Not to mention compassion and benefiting others. By becoming accustomed to this, all faults will be eliminated and all virtues will increase. Therefore, for the friends of beings, method and compassion are the most excellent. Thus it is said. Now, in order to abandon the defilements of arrogance etc. towards inferior sentient beings etc., it is explained: Arrogance towards inferiors, competition towards equals, and jealousy towards superiors arise in children. Although arrogance etc. belong to the side of afflictions, they are the cause for purifying the exchange of self and others, therefore it will be explained with the reasoning that will be explained. Non-discrimination is without doubt. Meditate on being without doubt! Meditate only on jealousy etc., such as "this is" etc. If one considers oneself superior because of discipline etc., and sees others as inferior because they lack these, then cultivate jealousy towards oneself, using "this is" to indicate that oneself has become others. Using "I" to indicate that others have become me. This is also the case for what will be explained. Karma is bearing burdens etc. Without mental burden, one can live happily. Greatness is achieved through habit and effort, and it is possible for oneself as well. Relative to superiors, you are also inferior. You possess virtues, but what can those without virtues do? Here, the part without virtues is also not established, because there are no sentient beings completely without virtues. However, high and low are relative. Any
