And also because of hating the stains. Therefore, I don't even have the thought that this is beneficial to others. The mind gives rise to joy in this because it is accustomed to good speech for a long time and takes it to heart. The meaning of this is that beings are manifestly attached to what is not the place, as well as perverse wisdom, as well as not valuing the meaning of good speech, as well as having the stain of jealousy, and although there is no thought of benefiting others because of hating good speech. However, this treatise was composed because of being accustomed to good speech. Therefore, if you want to study, you should abandon those four faults and study, this is the only meaning of showing it to others. Why Because this Dharma is like lion's milk, if it is not placed in a golden vessel, the vessel will also break and it will also be destroyed. Seeing the faults of samsara and the merits of nirvana, bodhi arises from diligence, so it is said to generate it, such as leisure and endowment. In the hot and cold hells, with extreme cold and heat, etc., in the hungry ghosts, with hunger and thirst, etc., in the animals, with mutual eating and being beaten by others and great ignorance, etc., in the borderlands, with not knowing what should be taken and what should be abandoned, etc., in the long-lived gods, with fainting from samadhi, etc., and finally with wrong views cutting off the roots of virtue, etc., in the absence of a Buddha, with no transcendent instructions, etc., in the foolish, dumb, and deaf, etc., with no ability to receive instructions, etc., because it is not suitable for directly realizing the noble path. Hells, hungry ghosts, and animals, borderlands, long-lived gods, wrong views, and the absence of a Buddha, the mute are the eight unfree states here. Separated from the eight unfree states, having leisure and endowment, having a human body in the center, having complete faculties, being free from the five heinous crimes, respecting the place, the Tathagata having spoken the Dharma, the Dharma abiding, a spiritual friend, food and clothing, the body being able to work, these perfections are also extremely difficult to obtain. For example, when the water rises seven cubits high, the wind blows and the waves surge in the deep sea, a wooden yoke with a single hole on the surface of the water, drifting for a hundred years and meeting by chance, it is difficult for a blind turtle's neck to enter the hole, it is as difficult to obtain a human body as this. If you look down from below, it is as difficult to see the neck entering the yoke, it is truly difficult to obtain this human body. If

Etc., now if there is no mind focused on wisdom and means, it is very important to obtain such leisure. As it is said: Like a yoke floating on the vast ocean, it is difficult for a turtle's neck to enter. Therefore. Although it is very difficult to obtain leisure, is it enough to obtain it? The answer is: As it is, etc. Even if one engages in merit by relying on the teachings of the Great Lord, etc., just as the darkness enveloped by clouds on a summer night is momentarily illuminated by lightning, only a few worldly minds can enter the merit spoken of in the Great Vehicle through the power of the Victorious One's individual discriminating wisdom. For those sentient beings themselves, even for their own benefit, they have never had such a thought before, and if they have not even dreamed of it in a dream, how can they arise for the benefit of others? Etc. Because the appearance of the Buddha is like the Udumbara flower. Therefore, in terms of the reasoning of the explanation, worldly virtues are purposeful and weak. The power of sins is great because they always arise naturally. The unbearable is because they produce suffering in hell, etc. So, what should be used to overwhelm the sins that are not Bodhicitta? Like this: Since beginningless time, clinging to the self and what belongs to the self in samsara, immeasurable harm has been done to sentient beings. Because they possess the essence of the Buddha, it can only be done by vowing to liberate immeasurable sentient beings. It is also said: What fault will there be in acting by abandoning compassion? Abandoning it is compassion itself, not something else. The ritual of generating the supreme Bodhicitta will be explained later: As the Sugatas of the past. Etc., expressed in two verses. Abiding in the vows of a Bodhisattva, one should learn from a qualified wise master, or if not, become wise oneself, bathe during the day, wear clean clothes, properly offer to the images of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, make the seven-branch offering, offer to the master as much as possible, take refuge in the Three Jewels, and make the vow: For the benefit of beings, may I attain Buddhahood. Then, kneeling on both knees, request the master three times, all the Tathagatas of the three times.
