It is difficult! Having thus prevented laziness, it is said that attachment to evil is prevented. It is best to rejoice in virtuous deeds. How is it? Because it increases the continuity of happy migrations, abandoning the infinite cause of happiness. Distraction is the body and mind being full, and the sound of agitation and so on, for the cause of suffering such as singing and dancing, how is it appropriate for you to like it? Everyone learns from their own mind! These verses of laziness and so on were put in by others, not by the scholar. If it is a concluding remark, then why not explain the antidote to laziness, and attachment to evil, and the antidote to despising oneself when the time comes? Self and other are equal and self and other are exchanged. Why put it here when it is not appropriate here? It should only be discussed in the chapter on meditation! The antidote to laziness is explained, how can a child like me be a vessel for enlightenment? Only sharp faculties, initiating diligence, and accumulating merit can be a vessel!

What is called inability is heaviness. Even so, it is not the cause of enlightenment. Giving away hands and so on for the sake of enlightenment is light, because it has a definite time. Being confused about small things is explained as follows: the suffering of achieving enlightenment is small and has a definite time, and it is the cause of the cessation of suffering. For example, the thorn stuck in the body, in order to eliminate its harm, the suffering caused by pulling out that small thorn is the same. This is small and short-lived, and it is the cause of the cessation of long-term suffering. Like this, it is also worthy of being endured. Even more than this, it is said that all doctors use the suffering of hunger, sleep, and other actions to cure diseases, otherwise they cannot. Therefore, in order to destroy many sufferings, enduring very little suffering is the only choice. In order to pacify all the beginningless and endless sufferings of all sentient beings. However, this act should have initially involved giving away hands and so on, but as the supreme physician, the Bhagavan, who can completely eliminate all diseases, did not allow it. However, because he possesses great compassion, he heals beings with great diseases such as attachment with extremely gentle treatments. Only gentle treatments are explained, in order to become accustomed to the antidotes to miserliness and so on, one begins by giving only leaves and flour and so on. By the guide, the protector who leads to the city of liberation. Then, having become accustomed to small giving, the giver who has gained the ability, with extremely joyful mind, does as if giving away his own flesh. Why is that so? It is said, because the habit of giving has reached perfection, at which time, just like with leaves, there is no thought of not giving. Because it is impermanent and without essence, it will be like this even with one's own flesh, so what difficulty is there in giving away his flesh and bones and so on? Such a Bodhisattva, because he has abandoned evil, will not have suffering. Only evil is defined as suffering. Because he is skilled in the nature of causality that is not deceiving, he will not be unhappy. Because the suffering of the body arises only from the body, and the discomfort of the mind also arises in the mind, it is also because of the inverted clinging to self and mine.

It arises from attachment. That is a long way to realizing the two selflessnesses. It is said that even if it takes a long time, do not be afraid, because that is the blissful body of merit that transcends the world, and the mind is happy for those who are skilled in distinguishing the Dharma. Therefore, because one's own purpose has been achieved, one has compassion. Even if one remains in samsara for the benefit of others, what suffering will cause suffering? It will not change. It is also said that there will be no long-term obstacles, because the sins committed in the past will also be exhausted, and that will burn like the fire of the end of time. Because it is said, "Collect the ocean of merit, never cease," and so on. The Bodhicitta that is spoken of, riding on the Mahayana, goes quickly in the manner of the Shravakas with the great power of skillful means. It is briefly summarized and explained that, according to the reasoning explained in this way, who with intelligence would be lazy to go from the happy realm to the happy realm? Having obtained a state like the palace of Bodhicitta, abide in it. How is it? It is to eliminate all the fatigue caused by all the afflictions. Verses such as wishes are not appropriate, and it seems that others have put them in. Because in order to summarize the four factors that are contrary to diligence, such as laziness, thereby increasing diligence. The army of strength should be endured, and that is in the verse called "Wish." Here, there is neither a summary of conflicting factors, nor is it related to strength. In addition, if it is a brief instruction, there must be a detailed explanation, but that is not the case. The connection between the past and the future is explained, according to the reasoning explained in this way, abandoning laziness, attachment to evil, laziness, and despising oneself, in order to increase diligence, one should strive, by what means? It is said that it starts from the name "Wish" and so on. Wish is desire. Arrogance is pride in the heart. Joy is attachment. Abandonment, acceptance, control, and power are combined with everything. It is explained in order to generate the wish, in order to abandon all beings and all one's own faults, and to generate all merits, for Bodhi.
