The time of death, whenever it may be, is impermanent and bound to happen. It is said that even breathing will cease. Who can grant me the courage not to fear, saying, "Do not be afraid"? There is also no way to escape the fear of hell. Because it is said in the scriptures that the living will eventually die. If death is inevitable, then it is inappropriate to live in comfort. It is said that even more inappropriate than this is the expectation of happiness. The rosaries and sandalwood, etc., that were bought before no longer exist now, so where is their essence now? Their happiness also vanished at that time. Because of attachment to happiness, I have disobeyed the guru's teachings. Therefore, I should only think about this: abandoning this world of humans, etc., even relatives will be alone, drawn by karma, going to an unknown death. Now relatives, etc., are of no help to me. Thinking that suffering will inevitably arise from non-virtuous deeds, I will vow to abstain from evil in the future. Then, thinking about how to be liberated from the evil deeds done before, repentance, etc., will arise. Therefore, I should think about this day and night. Explaining the result of thinking: The ignorant child, blinded by ignorance, whatever I have done with body, etc., whether it is a natural transgression, such as the ten non-virtuous deeds, or the transgressions prescribed for those who hold vows, such as untimely food, etc., all of these should be repented. In front of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, with palms joined, fearing the suffering that is to come, repeatedly prostrating. I have done these sins. Having confessed in this way, one should repent. The so-called "Please listen" means that I confess without concealment, please listen. Explaining how to protect in the future: The ripening is unbearable, so it is not good. From this time on, I will not do it again. If confessing to the guru, etc., after confessing, the guru will ask: Do you see that as a downfall? He should answer: I see it. If the guru does not ask whether to protect in the future, he should answer: I will protect. Because many methods of repentance have been taught, this second chapter of the commentary is called "Special Elucidation," it is the second chapter. Explaining rejoicing

Hey! Rejoicing in the merit made by ordinary beings who wander in the six realms of samsara, the respite from the suffering of the lower realms is because the fruit is taken out and the merit is exhausted, so sometimes they do not fall into the lower realms. Worldly merit is only the fruit of existence. Transcendent merit is inexhaustible. It is far from worldly things. So it is said. There are three kinds of rejoicing: rejoicing with the mind is mental, bristling hair and tears are physical, and saying "well done" is verbal. May those who suffer because they do not understand the good deeds they have done be happy. Rejoicing in transcendent merit, liberation from suffering is the savior who shows the path seen by oneself, that is, the Buddha. The stage of its cause is the Bodhisattva, and the stage of its result is the Buddha, and one rejoices in this. It is said that one rejoices in the merit of the Bodhisattva, and those who subdue afflictions make many aspirations, and one rejoices in doing benefit and happiness to all sentient beings like the ocean. In order to teach the Dharma, one prays to the Tathagatas of the ten directions and three times, and with folded palms, one prays that the lamp of the Dharma be lit for those who are obscured by the darkness of ignorance and tormented by suffering. It is said that one prays not to pass into nirvana, and in order to accomplish the work, one prays that the victorious ones who wish to pass into nirvana will remain for countless kalpas, and that these beings will not be ignorant of what to take and what to abandon because they have no teacher. It is said that one dedicates the merit, and after making offerings and prostrations and taking refuge in the Three Jewels and confessing sins and rejoicing and praying, and making the seven-branch unsurpassed offering, may the merit I have obtained be able to pacify the suffering of all sentient beings. Common and separate explanations are given, and the word "of" is connected with everything. May I become the medicine (of) the sick. Like the laywoman Bodhisattva, she cut off her own fresh flesh and offered it to a monk who could not cure the disease, therefore.
