Those like coarse cloth, etc., are also seen as numerous, impermanent, and changing. Those are not gods for a while, so those should not be called the sound of Īśvara, because Īśvara is considered to be incompatible with those qualities. Similarly, other things to be meditated on, such as mud, etc., similarly, other impure things, etc., and whatever is earth, etc., those are also not Īśvara, then tell me, what is your Īśvara? Similarly, saying that others should not be Īśvara, such as "Īśvara is not space," etc. If some unthinkable thing becomes Īśvara, then it is said, "non-thought." What is to be said? It means that it is beyond all discriminations. Furthermore, since even its fruit is not slightly seen, it is not known what that Īśvara wants to create, which is what is said as "wanting to create." If it is said that everything is created by me, therefore that itself is Īśvara, then "that" is the established tenet, because it is the only one and permanent, so everything will be created at the same time. Even if the nature of earth, etc., is Īśvara, even so, knowledge is not from the knowable. Since the knowable has existed from beginningless time, then what is created by what? If it makes happiness and suffering, that is also unreasonable, because those happiness or suffering arise from karma. Therefore, what is created by what? Furthermore, if the cause Īśvara has no beginning, then how can the result have a beginning? Therefore, everything will become without beginning. Always why, etc., is different for refutation. For others, it is the cause of acting together. Furthermore, the condition of acting together is also done by it, so there is nothing that is not done by it, these two. Therefore, what will this depend on? If this depends on the collection, then at that time that itself will become the cause, not Īśvara. If others say in a certain way, Īśvara has no power not to arise the collection itself, therefore that also...

To dispel the doubt that "it is doing it," (the text says:) "If without the power to generate assemblies, then..." meaning that there is no inability to not generate. The explanation for this is that it is not generating, but because it does not exist. The reason for saying "because it does not exist" is, for what reason is this not capable of generating assemblies? Why? Because it does not exist, that is, there is no ability to act sequentially and simultaneously. Therefore, this also has no power over that. Furthermore, does this act relying on desire? Or does it act without relying on desire? If this generates and acts by existence without desire, then at that time this becomes subject to others, therefore it is not independent. If it acts relying on desire, then in that way it is also never independent, because desire is subject to others. Because that is the case, for the author, there is no action, then how can the independent have the characteristics of independence? Or, the subtle particles are constant and are the authors of samsara. Saying that is also unreasonable, that is, "All those" etc. If that is the case, for the time being, if the Samkhyas think that that is the author of samsara, then "Pradhana is constant" etc. "Equally abiding" etc. refers to the state of the three gunas (藏文:ཡོན་ཏན།,梵文天城体:गुण,梵文罗马转写:guṇa,汉语字面意思: गुण) abiding equally. When the state of the gunas (藏文:ཡོན་ཏན།,梵文天城体:गुण,梵文罗马转写:guṇa,汉语字面意思: गुण) does not abide equally, then samsara has the characteristics of birth, destruction, and abiding. It is said thus: "Dust can generate purusha (藏文:སྐྱེས་བུ།,梵文天城体:पुरुष,梵文罗马转写:puruṣa,汉语字面意思: पुरुष), courage can make samsara abide, darkness can make beings perish." This is what is said. Stating the established conclusion is "In one" etc., that is, pradhana in one. That also, that is, the guna (藏文:ཡོན་ཏན།,梵文天城体:गुण,梵文罗马转写:guṇa,汉语字面意思: गुण) of courage etc. also. If without guna (藏文:ཡོན་ཏན།,梵文天城体:गुण,梵文罗马转写:guṇa,汉语字面意思: गुण), that is, if there is no courage etc. Furthermore, since samsara is the nature of the three gunas (藏文:ཡོན་ཏན།,梵文天城体:गुण,梵文罗马转写:guṇa,汉语字面意思: गुण), then clothes etc. will also generate happiness etc., that is unreasonable, because that is not consciousness, therefore the cause and effect will become different. Or, if things are the cause of happiness etc., then how can happiness etc. not arise? Have things not already been analyzed? Thus asked.
