Thus, it is well to examine. The bliss of meditative absorption that truly arises from that is food. It is said in relation to manifestly clinging to feeling after acknowledging a cause. Now, in order to show that there is no feeling due to the absence of a cause, it is said, "object-sense." That is, touch arises from the gathering and union of objects, senses, and consciousnesses. If feeling arises from that, is it with or without an interval? If it has an interval, that is, if it is seen as separate and distinct, how can it gather? If there is no interval, that is, if it becomes non-separate, then it becomes one, that is, it becomes one in nature. If you think that atoms gather and unite in this way, then it is said, "atom." However, even an atom does not enter into an atom, for there is no interval in an atom without space. Equality means sameness, that is, because there is no high or low. If you think that it is small because there is no entry, and it depends on many, then it is said, "not entered." The gathering of minute particles becomes one in nature, because it is without parts. If it is not like that, then it would follow that it has parts. Furthermore, that which is without parts is empty of parts. Gathering is a collection of things. How is it? This is to show impossibility. There is also no gathering of consciousness, because it is not embodied. Likewise, there is no real collection of things in a collection, so there is no gathering. The previous examination is the definite refutation of the collection of fingertips, etc. Suffering is fatigue and exhaustion, such as accomplishing happiness and so on. Harm means from the door of non-existence, because there is no cause or agent of feeling. How does it become what? This is to show causelessness. Why does it not destroy? That is, why does it not prevent it because of causelessness? If you think that if the object to be known itself does not exist, how can there be terms such as seeing? Therefore, it is said, "seeing or," that is, the terms of seeing or touching, etc., are like dreams, arising dependently.

The mind is the knower, but it is not something that exists in the ultimate truth. If one thinks that the mind sees feelings, it is said to be "simultaneous with the mind." Feeling refers to a dharma that is completely in accordance with the mind, and because it arises simultaneously, it is not something that can be grasped by the mind. Furthermore, feeling cannot be known by a previously arisen consciousness, because it does not exist at that time. Feeling cannot be known by a subsequently arisen consciousness either, because it no longer exists at that time. Therefore, it is merely a recollection. Feeling is not self-aware, because self-awareness has already been negated. It is also not known by others, because that has also been negated. "Ni" means "because," because there is no experiencer of feeling, therefore, apart from clinging to other appearances, true feeling does not exist. "This" refers to feeling. "Those" indicate that feeling is abiding in mindfulness. In the Dharmapada, it is also said: "Feeling is called experience, what is felt, the feeler, and the feeling, if one does not see them separately, who then personally experiences it? Thus, for all feelings, the wise should abide in mindfulness." In order to explain that the mind abides in mindfulness, it is said "mind" and so on. The sense faculty (dbang po) means that it exercises power in the manner of a master in the arising of consciousness, therefore it is called a sense faculty. "Form etc." refers to forms etc. that are different from the body. "Between" refers to between the sense faculty and the object. "Inner" refers to the inside of the body. "Outer" refers to the outside of the body. "Other" refers to other than the things that are said. "Mind" and "intellect" are the same meaning. It is not mixed together with the body, nor is it a different basis, there is no thing whatsoever. It is thought that in conventional truth, there exists a mind of illusory nature. In order to prove this, it is also intended to simultaneously explain that the Dharma abides in mindfulness, therefore it is said "from the knowable" etc. "Thus" refers to the order of statement. Others consider the two truths to be unreasonable.
