The offering called "Adorned with Precious Umbrella" is characterized by being made with a golden handle, thereby closely representing it. Adorned and beautified with pleasing decorations such as pearl ornaments all around, and appearing with a good shape and pleasing appearance, this, when raised upwards, is also always held and offered before the mighty sages. Having thus spoken briefly about the divisions of offerings, fearing extensive details, in order to show that the clouds of offerings generally exist and appear separately, it is said, "Furthermore," and so on. From among those that serve as the basis for the activity of offering, the most excellent, surpassing the previous ones, may they exist and appear separately, and may they be blessed. What is it? It is the collection of offerings, that is, the mass of clouds of offerings. Musical instruments refer to large drums and so on. Sweet melodies refer to musical instruments such as earthenware drums, and pleasing singing with dance, which also satisfies suffering beings. The noble one is the Buddha, whose Dharma is the nature of scripture and realization. This is like a wish-fulfilling jewel, difficult to find even after obtaining the perfect leisure and endowment, and is of great significance. The noble Dharma is both the Three Jewels and everything, so it is said. To that noble Dharma Jewel, offering is made by means of offering its scriptures and so on, and to the stupas that contain scriptures and so on, or the relics of the Buddha, and to the images, whether they are jewels or flowers, may the rain of whatever it may be fall continuously and without interruption. Having thus explained the offering with a superior, in order to show the unsurpassed offering, it is said, "How," and so on. Because all that should be traversed is understood, therefore, the Thus-Gone One, that is, the perfectly complete Buddha. The explanation of praise is the saying of "Ocean of Qualities" and so on. The limb of melody is the five, such as long teeth, each and every limb is

Because there are limitless offerings, with assemblies of praise filling as many oceans, I offer praise to those who possess such a sea of qualities. What is said about the blessing of praise is that it mentions things like the "Sound of Praise." The Sound of Praise, which is the collection of praises sung perfectly in song, is the melodious cloud of the Sound of Praise. May those also certainly appear universally or in all ways before those who possess the ocean of qualities (the Buddha). What is said about prostration is that it mentions things like the "Three Times." The phrase "All Buddhas who have passed through the three times" is the three times, which is the general collection of the past and so on. In those times, they have passed away and abide. Who are they? They are the Buddhas. Even though the knowable things are endless, by the power of possessing limitless wisdom, they completely pervade the mandala of knowable things. Whoever possesses such wisdom is the Buddha, to all of them. Not only that, but the phrase "together with the supreme Dharma and Sangha" means together with the supreme Dharma and Sangha, which is the nature of scripture and realization, and together with the Sangha of the eight great beings and so on. With all bodies equal to the number of dust motes in all Buddha-fields, I prostrate completely, therefore I prostrate. Furthermore, the images of the base bodies of the Bodhisattvas who have become places of veneration, and the images of steps, vases, rims, life pillars, wheels, parasols, and so on, built and accumulated from clay and so on, are stupas. That stupa, possessing the essence of verses of dependent origination and so on, as the support of the Bhagavan, therefore performing prostrations and so on to it is blessed for the purpose of generating merit, therefore prostrating to it. Here, the meaning of the word "prostration" is that the supreme of the limbs touches the ground, and the supreme of the limbs is the head, so that is the meaning of touching the ground. Having gone for a specific purpose and received teachings from this, therefore it is Khenpo (Abbot). Because of striving and exerting effort for the sake of liberation, therefore it is an ascetic, those are manifested.
