In the manner of the previous, in the manner of what was said before, from those causes, the afflictions will cause harm. By experiencing the arising, quell anger. Do not be angry at those who cause harm, that is its summary. Therefore, to explain that harm also arises from causes, it is mentioned, "For sentient beings have minds," etc. Because there is thinking, therefore there is mind. If both the mindful and the mindless cause harm, then it arises dependently. The sounds and nails, etc., of sentient beings, and both the mindful and the mindless cause harm, because they arise from the karma of the desire realm. It will definitely and undoubtedly occur. That is also mindful, seeing the body and mind being experienced. Therefore, please endure harm. Even if it changes like that, one should retaliate against what is done without mind, because for those things, there is no wisdom preceding, so there is no harm. Even if the mindful has no fault, but because his wisdom precedes and causes harm, then should one be angry at them? It is mentioned, "Some commit offenses out of ignorance," etc. When others cause harm to others, anger, etc., arises due to the fault of ignorance. In that case, among those one and the other, say which has no fault? Which should be said to be causing harm? It is like saying, "I have previously done such harm to sentient beings." There, finding some situations, it is mentioned, "Who causes harm to others," etc. Here, "everything" etc. is mentioned, for the decisive karma of the assembly there are two types, namely action and result. In that case, if everything depends on karma, what else can I change? The determination for the assembly cannot be changed, therefore the world arises from various kinds of karma. Having seen that, "in any case" etc. is easy to understand. If asked how one should strive, it is mentioned, "For example, a house on fire," etc., that is the way of striving. For what things does attachment arise, the house

If anger flares up, it should be discarded immediately, like grass and such. Why? Because the object of anger or the desire to manifest it causes the fire of hatred to spread, fearing that it will burn down the house of the mind that possesses merit. Discarding it, suffering will arise, which shows that this itself is good. For example, mentioning "a killed person has their hand cut off," etc., this is to be endured. If it is not so, if even this much present suffering cannot be endured, etc., this is a sign of not understanding what is heavy and light. Therefore, what is said here is a summary of these. The intense suffering of hell, its cause is anger and strife, their meaning is fruitless. Compared to the suffering of hell, the suffering arising from abandoning desired objects is not so harmful, because this is taken hold of by bodhicitta. Therefore, even great things can be accomplished. So, for the suffering that eliminates the suffering of beings, only joy should be felt here. Like this, after showing patience towards unpleasant things or one's own suffering and insults, etc., for the happiness of beings, etc., whether visible or invisible, patience, just as it is said, "others praise those with qualities," etc., through merit to increase, and with strength and ability to praise the enemy, and be jealous of why they do not rejoice. This happiness of your joy is the source of happiness, without fault. In distress, because this brings happiness to oneself and others, it is the source of happiness. Because this is the cause of the enemy's liberation, it is without fault. Because it is truly taken hold of by bodhicitta, the Buddhas and others who possess qualities will allow it. Whatever is not liberated from happiness is not allowed by the Buddha, and this is not so. This is also the supreme method of gathering others. The enemy himself generates happiness and joy, and this is also at that time accumulating his merit, therefore it will become happy. If you do not want happiness, then, like this, it will not become paying wages to a slave, etc., nor will it become the wealth he has accumulated, bathing, wiping the body, etc.
