Sa, in order to cultivate patience that is beneficial to others. Regarding bile diseases, etc., because bile diseases, phlegm diseases, wind diseases, etc., as well as major diseases of region and season, are themselves the source of suffering. Do not be angry with the great source of suffering. Towards sentient beings, that is, towards those who harm me. If one asks, why be angry? For what reason be angry? Bile diseases, etc., are not sentient, because they arise from conditions. They have no intention to harm. Regions, etc., also have no intention to harm. They are not sentient, because they arise from conditions, and since this is the case, one should not be angry with them. If one asks, how should one not be angry with those who have the intention to harm? Because they are all driven by conditions. It is said, "They are all driven by conditions," etc., in order to prevent the agent. The remainder is the patience of practicing the Dharma. Relying on the principle of arising from conditions, how are they driven by conditions? For example, it is said, "Even unwillingly," etc., this disease will arise from bile disease, and afflictions will arise from their own seeds. Do not think of being angry, even if unwilling, the autonomous one is also the agent. The conditions, that is, earth, etc., gathered together, are the gathering of conditions. Similarly, objects, etc., also, these gatherings of conditions, there is no thought of wanting to generate sprouts and consciousness, etc. The sprouts, etc., arise, and there is no thought of wanting me to arise. The Samkhya school takes Prakriti as primary, although they posit the agent as mindless, the Vaisheshika school, etc., do not think so. For the time being, because there is no thought of thinking of oneself in this way, it is not produced by deliberate thought. What need is there to mention others? Although it is not so, because it possesses sentience, it will arise from deliberate thought, and it will completely transform and transmigrate. If one asks, because that itself is permanent, why does it not arise? It is said, "If there is no unborn," without the unborn, it is because there is
