This is called the liberation of auspicious arising, and other teachings of the Buddha should be understood by reading the sutras. It seems that the sutras should be studied. Therefore, the sutras should be read. The Sutra of Akashagarbha should be read first, and the root downfalls should be examined. Those downfalls that destroy the vows are mostly stated in the Sutra of Akashagarbha, so it should be read. Because it is a constant practice, by showing it extensively, the Compendium of Trainings should also be read repeatedly. In order to show the venerable Nagarjuna and my abridged discipline, it is said, "From where," etc. Regarding where the activities of stupas and the Mahayana, in what place, time, and situation, the guru and others forbid saying, "This should not be done here," and those that are definitely combined with unreasonable things such as bathing on waterfall steps, here it is said, "This is this," in order to protect the mind of the world, after seeing the training there, practice accordingly. The taming of the mind with mindfulness has been explained. If asked what the brief nature and cause of mindfulness are, it is said, "Body and mind," etc. Then, should the sutras, etc., be proclaimed? It is said, "The body should practice these," etc. The chapter on guarding mindfulness from the well-spoken Engaging in the Bodhisattva's Deeds, that is, the fifth chapter, is completed. In order to immediately show patience after morality, it is said, "Thousands of eons," etc. What has been accumulated in thousands of eons, the previously mentioned giving and offerings to the Sugatas, etc. Sugata is a synonym for the Three Jewels. Offering is a universal action. Moreover, praise is a synonym for prostration and taking refuge, etc. Good conduct is discipline, and whatever it is, it will all be destroyed by a single anger. The Bhagavan said that anger destroys the merit accumulated in thousands of eons, making it fruitless. First burn the support, then burn others. Therefore, hatred is called anger.

Anger is the proximate cause, its similar cause is wrath, and its antidote is patience. Thus, one should meditate in various ways, relying on the manner of explaining the truth of conventional and ultimate reality. How is it that anger, like hatred, does not exist? Like this, even in this life, if one holds a mind with the sting of hatred, the mind will not experience the feeling of peace. Because one does not experience peace and happiness, one does not see joy and happiness in body, speech, and mind, one cannot sleep and becomes unstable. Therefore, those who rely on the kindness of those who have gained wealth and respect, and those who are difficult to subdue with hatred, want to attack that lord and master. Understanding their friendship, etc., is easy. The suffering of anger, etc., will occur in this and other lives. Therefore, by diligently being angry with the idea of an enemy, destroying hatred, one will be happy in this and other lives. It is not possible to destroy this without correcting its cause, and its cause is also suffering. Therefore, to show that this is also the latent habit of hatred, from unwanted and wanted things, obstacles arise, becoming food for unhappiness. Having found food for unhappiness, hatred increases and destroys oneself. Because that is so, one must do the actions of an enemy, etc. How can one destroy its food? Whatever happens, one must, etc. Joy is happiness of mind, and that which is disturbed is unhappiness of mind. Also, even if one does something unpleasant, one's wishes will not be fulfilled, but virtues will decline. To show that it is not reasonable to be unhappy, if it can be corrected, etc., it is easy to understand. Regarding what is said to be unwanted, what is unwanted? Suffering, etc., for oneself and one's friends, contempt is especially killing. Suffering, etc., for oneself or friends, etc., is unwanted. Related to enemies

English

Reversal arises from suffering and so on, and dissatisfaction with happiness and so on arises from that reversal. There are three types of patience: being able to endure suffering, being patient for the sake of others, and practicing the Dharma. Regarding the ability to endure suffering, the cause of happiness sometimes arises. Thus and so forth is said, up to bile and so on. Renunciation means liberation from suffering, not the absence of suffering. Therefore, O mind, you have resolved to steadfastly endure all suffering. Having thought thus, even people of unwavering faith, who are difficult to dissuade, burn their hands and so on for the sake of liberation, and meaninglessly harm themselves with cutting and so on. Because the meaning is too small, and because it is the source of sin. In order to liberate oneself and others, in order to be steadfast in the face of great meaning, what did I do to it before? If it is said that there is great harm, then it is said habit and so on, in order to show that being unable to endure will become very painful. Snakes and so on are mentioned, and if asked how to endure, heat and cold and so on are mentioned. Therefore, in order to show that one should make one's own mind steadfast, it is said that some people see my blood and so on. Suffering upon suffering, like fighting and enjoying the joy of victory, therefore overcome suffering, and do not be defeated by suffering. If asked what to do, it is said that even if the wise encounter suffering and so on, the joy of the mind, that is, extreme joy. The battle of the Bodhisattva, the battle with afflictions, that is, hatred and so on, there will be much harm when fighting. Likewise, having overcome all suffering, hatred and so on are enemies, temporarily conquering these enemies is heroic, the remainder is just an empty echo on a corpse. There is merit for enduring suffering, and there are other merits, it will eliminate sadness and arrogance. Thus, cultivate the ability to endure suffering in the manner of conventional truth.
