Therefore, the Bhagavan said: Like a yoke hole floating in the vast ocean, with a turtle's neck fitting into it, human life is said to be extremely difficult to obtain. For example, monks, suppose this great earth becomes a vast ocean, and in it there is a yoke hole, drifting in the wind, moving from here to there. And there is a blind turtle, which only sticks its head out once every hundred years. Monks, what do you think? Is it easy to find the turtle's neck fitting into the yoke hole in the vast ocean? The Bhagavan said: No, Bhagavan. The Bhagavan said: Monks, similarly, it is extremely difficult to obtain human life. To show these various situations, it is said, "Even if one commits a sin for a single moment." It means that due to the five heinous crimes and so on, one will be reborn in the Avici hell for an eon, and will dwell there. With the sins accumulated in beginningless samsara, needless to say, one will not be able to be reborn in a good destination, and one will not even be able to hear (the Dharma). Although it may be so, if the sins are exhausted, will one be liberated from the Avici hell? Merely experiencing those sins, the mind will not be liberated from the Avici hell and so on. Because in this way, while experiencing sins, other sins will arise. Therefore, one should do good from now on. If not, there is nothing more deceived than this, and there is nothing more foolish than this. From what point of view? If one obtains such a human life with leisure and endowment, but does not practice virtue. Therefore, if I realize this, but am lazy due to ignorance, and do not strive to learn, then at the time of death, great sorrow will arise. Then one will say: Why did you do such a thing? Even in hells.

For a long time, the heart aches and the demons eat away. I do not study the teachings now. Moreover, it is extremely difficult to find a place of benefit. How do sentient beings in good realms happen to obtain it? Thus, with the knowledge arising from hearing and so on, even though I possess knowledge, evil deeds generally lead me to that hell. To show that sins are committed out of ignorance, mantras and so on are spoken. Here, I study the teachings in a place of benefit. The mind is exhausted and without, like some of us being deluded by mantras. I do not know what causes the delusion. What is inside my body? It is called greed and so on. Enemies such as hatred and greed do not have hands and feet, because they are not physical forms. They are not brave, because diligence is a great source of virtue. Greed and so on are not virtuous, so they do not have the same qualities as diligence. They are not wise, because they have the same qualities as ignorance. How do they treat me like a servant? The enemies such as greed and hatred. They are the cause of ignorance, and the ignorance that arises earlier is also their cause. If the earlier ones are like that, then they treat me like a servant. Thus, while dwelling in my mind, those who harm me with joy, not being angry with them and being tolerant, here it is shown that tolerance is extremely inferior. Not a place, a place of inferior tolerance. Thus it is said. Now, it is possible to tolerate harm such as weapons, to show that. If all the gods and demigods rise up as enemies against me, they cannot throw me into the fire of the Avici hell. What kind of fire is it? The enemy with the great power of afflictions, whoever it encounters, that is, whatever it is connected with, Mount Meru does not even leave ashes, into that I am thrown in an instant. Thus, the enemy of afflictions has great power. Not only does it have great power, but it also lasts for a very long time. My enemy of afflictions, like a long time without beginning or end, other enemies cannot live that long. However,

If I think that I should rely on them in accordance, (then) say: If you serve in accordance, everything can bring benefit and happiness. If you rely on these afflictions, it will bring suffering and harm instead. They are also the cause of happiness and joy in samsara, if you think that you should not rely on them in accordance, then it is said "such a long time" and so on. With the reason of such a statement, it lasts for a long time, and those who have become enemies since beginningless time are such long-lasting enemies. The multitude of harms is the multitude of harms. For the sake of its extreme growth, if it is the only cause, then the multitude of harms is the only cause of growth. If they must dwell in my heart, if I rely on them, how can the mind be happy? In order to show how to be happy, it is said "this is" and so on. It is the prison guard of the prison of samsara, the executioner who kills in hell and other places. Like an iron cage guarding the lion who is diligent in keeping the precepts, the house of the mind is like an iron cage, the mind is wisdom, and the house is the home. If you live there, how can you be happy? It is also the pain of the body. Therefore, they are the cause of meaninglessness in every way. As long as I have not directly and surely destroyed these enemies, as long as I am still here, it is to destroy the afflictions. The so-called "not abandoning diligence" means not abandoning diligence. Those arrogant people who get angry even when they suffer a little harm will not fall asleep without destroying them. Because destruction has no cause. The nature, that is, the nature of the essence, becomes the affliction of suffering. When brave on the battlefield, I also want to try to destroy it, and it is also fierce and powerful, enduring the pain of being stabbed by arrows, spears, and swords, and will not retreat before achieving the goal. Always becoming the cause of all suffering, the enemy of nature, that is, afflictions, now I must strive to destroy them. For anything that causes hundreds of thousands of sufferings, I will not be discouraged, let alone others? If you think that those causes of suffering will make people lazy, (then) say: Meaningless
