It is shown in this way by "extremely inexhaustible" and so on: Just as relying on a special friend protects from great fears such as enemies, so too, by the power of averting the faults of the nature of aspirational bodhicitta, one is also liberated from sins. Therefore, those who wish to purify sins must rely on it without any doubt, and therefore, one should think that it burns misdeeds like the fire at the end of an eon. This much shows the benefit of intellectual knowledge. Now, in order to show it from the perspective of scripture, it is said, "Its benefits," etc. As it says in the Noble Tree Array Sutra: "Son of good family, the mind of enlightenment is like the seed of all the Buddha's teachings." "Because all beings' white dharmas increase, it is like a field." "Because all worlds rely on it, it is like the earth." "Because it completely cuts off all poverty, it is like the son of Vaishravana." "Because all Bodhisattvas completely protect it, it is like a father." "Because it completely accomplishes all meanings, it is like a wish-fulfilling jewel king." "Because it completely fulfills all wishes, it is like a good vase." "Because it defeats the enemy of afflictions, it is like a short spear." "Because it prevents improper attention, it is like armor." "Because it causes the head of afflictions to fall, it is like a sword." "Because it cuts down the tree of afflictions, it is like an axe." "Because it protects from all harm, it is like a weapon." "Because it lifts up those who are in the water of samsara, it is like a boat." "Because it completely scatters the earth that covers all obscurations, it is like a wind mandala." "Because it summarizes all the practices and aspirations of Bodhisattvas, it is like a concise instruction." "For the world with gods, humans, and asuras, it is like a stupa." Son of good family, thus the mind of enlightenment possesses those qualities and other immeasurable differences of qualities." And so on. So, can a son with qualities be born to ordinary people like us? Answer: It should be known that it can be born, as it is said in the Compendium of Trainings. Now, in order to show the various distinctions of the mind of enlightenment, the mind of enlightenment

In summary, it mentions "and so on." Furthermore, the detailed classification of generating Bodhicitta is as follows: "Earth, gold, moon, fire," etc., totaling twenty-two types. This refers to the initial stage of generating Bodhicitta, similar to having the intention. Furthermore, generating Bodhicitta is divided into four types: "faith and understanding, superior intention, purity, and different maturation." This refers to the Bodhicitta of faith and understanding. Furthermore, there are two types of Bodhicitta: conventional and ultimate. This refers to the conventional Bodhicitta. Regarding the conventional Bodhicitta, it is further divided into two types: obtained through ritual and obtained through the nature of reality. This refers to the case of obtaining it through ritual. As stated in the Gandavyuha Sutra: "Noble son, it is rare for beings to aspire to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Even rarer are those beings who have set out on the path to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment." The essence of aspirational Bodhicitta is: For the benefit of all sentient beings, may I attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Thinking of both enlightenment and sentient beings, having the intention to pursue the goal, and the corresponding consciousness of mind, like wanting to walk, as stated in the Bodhisattva Bhumi. The essence of engaging Bodhicitta is: the consciousness of mind corresponding to the mind of abandoning and the mind of engaging, along with its habitual tendencies. Among them, the discipline of vows is the essence of the mind of abandoning, and the remaining two are the essence of the mind of engaging, like having embarked on the road and moving forward. Even if only aspirational Bodhicitta is sufficient, why is engaging Bodhicitta necessary? It is not so, engaging Bodhicitta has a greater accumulation of merit than aspirational Bodhicitta. Why? Because "from the mind of aspiring to enlightenment,"

Etc. are mentioned. Speaking of generating the mind of aspiration, what manifests as a great fruit when wandering in samsara? As it is said in the liberation of the noble Maitreya. Son of good family, for example, although a diamond jewel is broken, it surpasses all particularly excellent gold ornaments, does not abandon the name of jewel, and can also dispel all poverty. Son of good family, likewise, the diamond jewel of generating the mind for omniscience, even if it lacks diligence, surpasses all the gold ornaments of the qualities of hearers and solitary realizers, and can also dispel all the poverty of samsara. Thus it is said. Similarly, in the "Sutra of Advice to the King," it is also said: Great King, like you, you do many things, you do many things, from all of all, in all ways of all of all, you cannot train in the perfection of generosity until you train in the perfection of wisdom. Therefore, Great King, you should generate desire and pursuit for perfect enlightenment, make aspirations, whether walking, standing, sitting, or waking, always constantly remember, keep in mind and practice. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, noble hearers, solitary realizers, all ordinary beings, and all the roots of virtue that have arisen in your own past, future, and present, gather, pour, calculate, and rejoice, be like the most excellent space, rejoice like nirvana. After rejoicing, offer to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the noble hearers, and all the solitary realizers. After offering, share it with all sentient beings. Then, for all sentient beings to attain omniscience, and for the perfection of all the dharmas of solitary realizers, like a single day, dedicate it to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment in the three times. Great King, if you act in this way, the affairs of the king will not decline, and the accumulation of enlightenment will be perfected. Thus it is said. That sutra.
