Let it be transformed! Son of the gods, the ultimate truth is far beyond the realm of the wisdom that knows all aspects, and that possesses all supreme qualities. Thus it was spoken. Also, in the sutra taught by the noble Inexhaustible Intelligence, it is said: What is the conventional truth? It is all the worldly designations that are posited, and those that are indicated by letters, languages, and symbols. As it is said. Because the conventional is as it appears, so it is thought. For details, one should learn from other Madhyamaka treatises, so I will not elaborate here. Now, in order to briefly explain that the nature of things should be examined by removing the wrong conceptions about the nature of things, the word "thereupon" is mentioned. Regarding the nature of things that has just been explained, the yogis and the ordinary people who are similar to the defeated, that is, the worldly people such as the Sautrantikas, observe in the order of the two types, in the manner of non-duality and in the manner of duality. Thereupon, the Yogacharas refute the views of the ordinary world, and the views of the yogis who are superior to the ordinary world are refuted by the distinctive views of the Madhyamikas, therefore, the characteristics should be examined, which is the concluding statement. Now, for the time being, assuming that it is explained in detail, how do the Yogacharas refute the views of the ordinary world? The words "ordinary world" and so on are mentioned. The ordinary world is the Sautrantika and so on. The so-called "direct perception" refers to forms and so on. The so-called "reality" is that, as it appears, the external objects truly exist. The so-called "like an illusion" is that it appears as such. How to argue? The words "forms and so on" are mentioned, indicating that forms and so on are mistakenly manifested as direct perception due to the power of the completely matured habit of elaboration, and are not established by the valid cognition of appearance, because there is no reasoning to establish it, and because it is harmed by the valid cognition of one and many and so on. For example, it is like perceiving the impure as pure, as it is explained.
