Moreover. In order to show the benefits of not being afraid of being robbed of possessions and not being afraid of others seeing the unsightly parts of the body, the alms bowl and so on are mentioned. In order to cultivate the antidote to abandoning the afflictions of clinging to the body as permanent and pure, through the gate of cultivating mindfulness of following the body on the external body, the charnel ground is mentioned. The first verse shows the general situation of seeing the body of another who has died. The second shows the situation after seven days of death. This body alone, and so on, shows how to cultivate the antidote in order to dispel the unpleasantness caused by being separated from relatives and so on when living in a monastery. What causes, and so on, shows how to cultivate the antidote of not being able to bear to be separated from relatives and so on. This body, and so on, shows the benefits of not associating with relatives and so on when living in a monastery. Therefore, and so on, shows the advice to live in a monastery through examining the benefits. Now, for those who live in a group, how to search for the time to meditate, other thoughts and so on are mentioned. Other thoughts refer to the five obscurations of meditation. By thinking of oneself, it is explained that one should think about why one has come to a solitary place, and that one has come to abandon obscurations. In order to meditate, it is through abandoning the high of the characteristic of excitement and the low of the characteristic of sinking. In order to tame, it is to tame from afflictions. Now, from the perspective of showing the faults of abandoning desire from the five obscurations of meditation, in order to briefly explain abandoning it, this world and so on are mentioned. In order to explain these in detail, from the first evil of desire to what is the use of desire when old, the faults of this life are shown, and the meaning of the words is easy to understand. Now, from the perspective of summarizing and showing the faults of this life and the next, in order to accomplish it,

In order to specifically teach that the wealth already obtained should not be wasted, it is said, "To those who have desires," etc. Now, in order to abandon attachment to desires, thereby making practice easier, and to teach that one should strive to attain liberation, it is said, "Desire," etc. If one is overly attached to desires, how great are the faults that one should abandon them? To show this without reservation, it is said, "To the desires," etc. They only take away the life of this life, do not think that they cannot cause one to fall into hell, etc., in the next life. In this way, after teaching to abandon the conceptual thoughts of desire for external objects, in order to teach to abandon the conceptual thoughts of desire for internal sentient beings, it is said, "The desirous one," etc. Even the softest touch should not be lying on trees, etc., thinking like this, if you are not attached to this, then why do you still have attachment in your heart through touch? It should not be attached, that is the meaning. Now, in order to teach that one should not be attached through clothing, it is said, "If you cover something," etc., thinking in your heart, because it has not become worse than before. Why still crave it? Thinking in your heart, because it has not become more beautiful. Because that is impure, so teaching that one should not be attached, therefore it is said, "If," etc., the meaning of the limbs is easy to understand. Now, in order to teach that one should not be attached through smell, it is said, "Applied to the body," etc. Now, in order to combat drowsiness and sleep, it is said, "I," etc. "Mindful speech" refers to the benefits of remembering samadhi as an antidote to drowsiness and sleep, as well as the great qualities of the Tathagata Buddha, etc. Are there not five hindrances to meditation? Here, only greed for desire and abandoning sleep are mentioned, why are others not mentioned? Because abandoning agitation is like the method of abandoning greed for desire itself, as mentioned earlier.
