What kind of help should be done? That is, nothing has been done at all, this is a concluding remark. Although he admits that this establishes the condition of acting together, he still denies it. This is to show that the condition of acting together itself is not established. Therefore, he said "by his action" etc., in order to explain the reason for establishing "I am the condition of his acting together." For these two things that are considered to be "I" and "the condition of acting together," because they cannot produce results, what relationship can become a later determined characteristic and provide help? Because "I" is permanent, it should not be provided with help, and because permanence itself does not change. The condition of acting together is also not providing help, in this way, all the results are due to other impermanent causes and conditions, and the results are produced involuntarily, this is the meaning. In this way, the harm from enemies etc. is produced from causes and conditions, because it is dependent origination, so there is no self-nature in the ultimate truth, this is a concluding remark. Now, in order to explain the benefit of understanding in this way, he said "If you understand in this way" etc. two sentences. If this is the case, all dharmas have no self-nature, then cultivating patience itself is unreasonable, this thought is compassion for sentient beings, therefore he said "who" etc. The teacher said "relying on it" etc., because relying on cultivating patience in the conventional truth, there is a need to abandon suffering, so it is thought that cultivating patience is not contradictory. Therefore etc., is a summary of the above-mentioned content. If others etc., it explains that if others cause harm, they admit the certainty of not relying on causes and conditions. Now, in order to explain that those who cause harm by means of physical beating etc., are based on the truth of the conventional truth, and it is necessary to think about the nature of the dharma, thereby cultivating patience, therefore he said the four verses of the negligent "I," in general, even in the conventional truth, those who cause harm to the very cherished self due to the control of afflictions, also cause harm to others due to the control of afflictions.

Therefore, it is appropriate to have compassion for them, but it is not appropriate to be angry with them. Now, towards sentient beings who harm others, because their nature is just that, it is not appropriate to be angry. If it is not their nature, then also because they are not their nature, it is not appropriate to be angry. In order to show this through the method of analogy, two verses beginning with "If towards others" etc. are spoken. Also, on the one hand, because it is others' swords etc. that cause the fault, sentient beings themselves are not at fault; on the other hand, it is not that sentient beings themselves are at fault, but because the anger in their continuum is at fault; on the third hand, it is not that anger is at fault, but because one's own karma is at fault, so one should not generate anger towards sentient beings. In order to show this, two verses beginning with "Sticks etc." etc. are spoken. On the other hand, because I have taken the body which is the basis of the arising of suffering, while others have only drawn out the sword which is the cause of the arising of suffering. The arising of suffering such as illness in myself is because both of us are at fault, so one should not be angry only with others. In order to show this, four verses beginning with "Their sword" etc. are spoken. Also, on the other hand, because in the past I created the karma of harming others, and driven by the power of karma, they harm me in this life, because of them, they will fall into the lower realms in the next life, so I am a great harmer to them, and I rely on them to cultivate patience. The *Moon Lamp Sutra* says: "Children are not correct, therefore one should endure abuse, beatings, etc. Towards other Bodhisattvas, if I generate a mind of harm, or the sins I have committed in the past, now they will manifest." Thus, in the manner of what is said, in order to purify the sins accumulated in the past, in order to accumulate the immeasurable merit arising from patience, they are beneficial to me, so one should not generate anger towards them. In order to show this, three verses beginning with "My karma" etc. are spoken. However, the harmer
