There are also no friends who become actual help. Therefore, if you examine the cause of creating countless meaningless things yourself, who will become your friend? Having thus spoken of the faults of friendship, and again, in order to explain these virtues of being alone with three verses, he said, "World" and so on. Now, even if one does not want to live, one will surely die, so one must abandon by the power of staying in a secular home, so one should abandon while one is alive. "Then" refers to from the secular home. "Without sorrow" means not being completely tormented by words such as "Alas", not being done by worldly relatives, etc., at that very moment, from that, one should first go to the forest. Again, what kind of difference in virtue is there here? He said, "Without friends" and so on, because one is free from subsequent attachment and resentment. Even if one dies, there is no sorrow, which means one will not rely on the suffering caused by sorrow. Why? Because one has already died in the world. The moment one comes out of the secular home, one is in the worldly place of one's friends and relatives, etc. There is also this virtue, he said, "Sitting beside" and so on, sitting beside refers to close relatives and people of the same clan, etc., because of the separation from the sick person, there is sorrow, and there is no production of sorrow and harm, which means one will not cause suffering to one's own body, speech, and mind. Or, because seeing their sorrow, one will not cause suffering to the mind of the dying person. "This" refers to the separation from associating with people. At the time of death, it is not only this virtue, but also the remembrance of the Buddha, etc., and the word "etc." includes proper attention or remembrance of the Dharma. Therefore, etc. is to make a conclusion, being alone is because one wanders without attachment. The fisherman's joy is because it is the cause of generating happiness, and ease is because it is the antidote to suffering, generating happiness is higher rebirth and

Because it is the cause of obtaining good photos, Pacifying all distractions is to pacify all distractions of misconduct by body, speech, and mind, because it is the cause of dispelling them. I should always rely on this. This means that one should be without attachment by being attached to this itself. Thus, having explained the physical solitude by abandoning association with people, in order to explain the mental solitude, it is said, "Other thoughts," and so on. All other thoughts are the nature of untrue conceptualizations; abandoning them is to be separated from them. "My mind with one-pointedness" means that one-pointedness is the main thing. The mind is called that which exists in whatever attention it is on. Or, whoever has such a mind is called that. Or, with a one-pointed mind, one diligently strives to observe its movement, having become one-pointed. Or, it is a compilation of words that refers to the mind that is connected to a definite object of focus. Having become like that, one should settle the mind peacefully in perfect equanimity, and one should strive for that, go to that, and join with that one-pointedly, which means to tame it, to repeatedly join it with that very object of focus, or to settle the mind on that in order to prevent external distractions, because that is the antidote. Desiring to prevent the conceptualizations of desire, it is said, "The world," and so on. Because attachment to existence (samsara) has not been abandoned, one is attached to the very things that are desired; desire refers to objects such as forms. The word "ni" means "because of what," and it is related to "Therefore, do not be delighted in desire." That is, relying on it generates suffering, because it causes one to obtain unwanted results. This world is this very birth, and the other world is the next life. That very thing is shown here by "killing" and so on. By stealing another's wife and so on, the distinctions of death and so on are manifestly realized in this world, while in the other world, it is from the scriptures. Among them, attachment to the desires of others, attachment to desire, is very difficult.
