It is thought to be the mind. If asked, what does it become like? With the appearance of suffering, sentient beings experience the feelings of hell. The difficult commentary on Entering the Conduct of the Bodhisattva, the sixth chapter composed by Wisdom Source Intelligence, is complete. In the presence of the great Indian Abbot Pandit Sumati Kirti, it was translated and proofread by the translator Acharya Marpa Chokyi Wangchuk. Thus, by way of blocking dissimilar aspects, having shown the three kinds of patience, in order to show diligence, it is said, "Thus, with patience," and so on. "Thus" is the order of speaking. Because it possesses patience, it is patience, the patience that one has become accustomed to. To initiate diligence is to strive for diligence, otherwise, one cannot endure suffering, so one will cling to diligence. Why should diligence be initiated? It is said, "Thus, in diligence," and so on, because enlightenment abides in diligence, it is its very cause, dependent on it, or it is Buddhahood itself. From what does this come? Because, merit does not arise without diligence. This is an example, because diligence is the cause of both, so wisdom should also be observed. Therefore, diligence is the accumulation of merit and wisdom, and from them comes Buddhahood, so it is said. Because one does not understand the nature of diligence, one asks what diligence is. If one asks, "What is diligence?" What is said here, "delight in virtue," that is, delight in virtuous actions such as giving and listening, that is called diligence. Delight in non-virtue is laziness itself. In order to show that diligence, which is diminished by dissimilar aspects in the accomplishment of manifest desire, is not a limb, so one must abandon dissimilar aspects. For this purpose, "its dissimilar aspects," and so on, are said. "Its" refers to diligence. Some diminishing aspect is a dissimilar aspect. What is that?

To explain, regarding laziness and so on. Laziness is idleness, where the body and mind are unfit for work. Evil refers to what should be condemned, clinging to frivolity and coquetry, and so on. Laggardness is laggardness itself, turning the mind away from difficult tasks, meaning without attachment. This despises oneself, which is self-limitation, and this is the opposite side of laziness. In order to refute laziness, wanting to first point out the cause of it, so it is said "not diligent" and so on. "Not weary of the suffering of samsara," meaning due to not being weary, so one is not diligent, which is not making effort. To this, he enjoys comfort, which is desiring comfort, and is overwhelmed by sleep. These, that is wanting to explain desire. From this, "laziness will gradually arise." Or, due to not being weary of the suffering of samsara, so one is not diligent, which is not engaging in any virtuous deeds. From this, one enjoys comfort, and from this is sleep, and from this also desire may arise. Therefore, in order to dispel not being weary of the suffering of samsara, here one should clearly cultivate weariness. For this, it is said "afflictions like a net" and so on. A net refers to a net used to kill fish and so on, and those who use the net are fish and so on, similarly, afflictions themselves are the net, and being captured by it is being controlled. How is this so? Fallen into the net of birth, which is being born in the same kind and with the same fate, is falling into the net of birth, and falling into it is synonymous with entering into it. This being controlled by it here is reasonable. Even if one obtains such a situation now. "Having gone into the mouth of the Lord of Death," even so, do you not understand? Meaning, if one has been born, one will certainly die. Other causes of weariness are also mentioned, "one's own group" and so on. One's own group is a collective, which is with whom one plays and laughs and so on in childhood. These own groups are like buffaloes that the butchers will surely slaughter.

"Haven't you seen?" means: I am also in this state. Therefore, having gained a little time, one will surely die. So, during that time, should I experience happiness? If that is the case, even so, one should not believe that one will surely die. Just as a person who is to be executed is blessed by the executioner and led to the execution ground, if you have not seen liberation, then it is not reasonable to indulge in happiness. Therefore, by meditating on renunciation to negate the cause, one should abandon laziness and cultivate joy in virtue. If one will surely die, then one should also approach and understand death, thereby abandoning laziness. Then it says, "How long is life?" and so on. Accumulation means gathering, and gathering means that the characteristics of disease and old age arrive for the purpose of death. "How long" is a worldly expression, and "quickly" means fast, because it is very close. Like this, when death is near, what is the use of abandoning laziness at an inappropriate time? At that time, there is no need for anything, that is the meaning. In order to prove that the time is not ripe through three verses, it says, "This has not been obtained," and so on. "This" refers to thinking in the mind, "I will do it later," that is, not having obtained that opportunity. Starting to do this, which necessary thing does one want to do first? Regarding abiding in doing this for the sake of this, it refers to what has been completed and what has not been completed. Therefore, just when things are not finished, suddenly the Lord of Death comes, and I will be destroyed, one will think. Because it is very difficult, one becomes frustrated, and what should one do when one becomes bewildered? This is related to what happens later. Sorrow means that the mind is completely burned by being separated from suffering. Its power means proceeding continuously. Being filled with it means becoming huge, and tears mean being with heat. Red means the color of copper, and eyes are for seeing, and whoever has these on their face is called that. A face that has become like that.
