said, if the happiness of others makes oneself also happy, then for all beings, that is, others who become happy through joy, one should do the same. Why am I not happy for the beings who are happy because of the joy shown by others, that is, others who become happy through renewed joy and trust? Therefore, this is just talk, not reality. To show this, he said, "Therefore," etc. Because there is no other reason besides this. Because by thinking "Praise me" in this way, one will feel joy for oneself, and will not feel happy because of the happiness of others. Moreover, not only will he not feel happy because of the happiness of others, but according to the order of such instructions, he himself feels unreasonable and unrelated, so these are just children's games. In addition, in order to approximately show that wanting to praise, etc., is actually causing harm to oneself, he said, "Praise, etc." These praises, etc., are my merits, that is, virtue. Or, virtue is completely guarding the side of virtue. Similarly, weariness is weariness of the suffering of samsara, and destruction refers to destruction. Not only that, but also jealousy arises towards those who have merits, that is, thinking that one should have more merits, therefore hiding the merits of others, or unable to bear the merits of others. Perfection refers to the nature of obtaining and respect, etc. Making angry means unable to bear those. Thinking that only oneself has more merits, only oneself has all the perfections, and others are not like that. Because those faults arise from praise, etc., therefore, in order to destroy praise, etc., that is, in order to refute, which beings will approach, that is, strive. Falling into the lower realms refers to beings falling into hell, etc. In order to protect oneself from it, that is, in order to save, isn't it entering and striving for the reason of protection? Therefore, those are virtuous friends, because they do not cause harm, so for those who create obstacles to obtaining, etc., various

In order to show that I should not have an angry mind in any case, it is said, "I am liberated," and so on. For those who want to be completely liberated, gain and respect are like bonds, because they are the place of attachment. What is not needed is that bondage is not appropriate for the desire for liberation. Am I bound, and is samsara the characteristic of suffering? From the nature of gain and so on, enemies appear, wanting to do the work of a virtuous friend, thus liberating me, that is, separating me. How can I be angry with those places that are supremely beneficial and delightful? It is thought that it is not appropriate. How is that not appropriate? It is said, "I," and so on, because of being very attached to gain and respect. For those who want to be liberated from the suffering of samsara, which special person has become the door leaf, that is, the latch, that is, matured? From where does it mature? It is like the great power of the blessings of the Buddhas. How can I be angry with that? It is also said that hatred towards those who destroy virtue should be prevented. "This is the one who creates obstacles to merit," and so on. Thinking in this way: This person has created obstacles to virtue. Here, it is not appropriate to hate those who create obstacles to merit. Why? Because patience is equal to maturity and equality, and if there is no asceticism that is well practiced, it is because it is the cause of all virtuous deeds. Because it is said, "There is no asceticism like patience." In this regard, is it not abiding in this effort and practicing it? If one is angry at the cause of merit, which is close by, because of a fault like creating obstacles to merit, then one becomes the one who creates obstacles to merit, so it is said. If it is "I," and so on, that is, if one does not tolerate the fault that one does not tolerate, then at that time, oneself, and not another, has completely created this obstacle to merit. Why? Because one wants to manifest the one who creates obstacles to merit as the cause of merit, so one approaches.
