Why cannot endure? In what way? The arising of afflictions depends on afflictions, and the arising of these afflictions is subject to others. Not trusting depends on others themselves, the cause of patience is the same in both cases, this is its meaning. Regarding those who destroy Buddha images and so on, even with the power of faith, one should not generate anger, as it is said. Buddha images and so on, destroying means disturbing. Nonsense is speaking unreasonably with wrong ideas. One should not generate anger towards us. Why? Because for Buddhas and so on, Bodhisattvas, Noble Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, etc., they are liberated from the self-grasping arising from wrong views, without wrong thoughts and attachments, so there is no harm, and they also think there is no mental distress. Therefore, one should not generate anger towards those who destroy Buddha images and so on. At that time, for those who do things contrary to the Dharma, the holy ones should generate compassion. Otherwise, because there is no difference, only evil will arise. If one can prevent it with the Dharma, then there is no fault. For those who harm teachers and parents, etc., because of craving for the Dharma, one should also prevent the arising of anger, as it is said. Teachers, relatives, etc., the teacher is the one who guides the path of the Dharma and turns people away from the unwholesome side. Relatives refer to those with the same mother but different fathers, relatives, blood relations, kinships, and other relationships. For those who harm them, and for those who harm the poor, one should also prevent anger. How to prevent it? As mentioned earlier, seeing that everything arises from causes and conditions, all faults and various evils, as it is said. Therefore, all of these are the fruits produced by past karma, enjoying these fruits, there is no cause to change anything. Therefore, as other sects say, gods, humans, Brahmins, and fathers

It is thus declared that it is not manifestly intended here to assert that there is no fault in committing sins for the sake of... and so on. Furthermore, it is said that one should not be angry with sentient beings by contemplating the suchness of things. Regarding "embodied beings" and so on, the characteristic of the collection of those who generate all fruits, both in accordance and in opposition, is determined to be the cause, and that collection is also the dharma of things, therefore it is the nature of having power in some place. Among them, What is done with mind is striking with hands and feet, etc. What is done without mind is with sticks, weapons, diseases, etc. For these also, there is action as if with mind, the difference being that it is done directly and indirectly. It may also arise from harm caused by one's own willfulness, or by clods of earth and walls, etc. If harm is done to embodied beings, when it is certain to occur, there is no other cause of harm than this. Thus, when the two kinds of causal aggregates occur at the appropriate time, they are also fully ascertained by valid cognition to appear in the body with mind, intellect, and consciousness, therefore, that is the place of birth of that being, and not another, because it is not reasonable for the mindless to have feelings. Therefore, whatever is the place of birth of something, it arises in that place, and not elsewhere, just as a lotus arises in mud, but not in a dry place. Therefore, one should endure and tolerate the nature of harm, which is the object of these reasons, that is, what was just said. Now, in order to refute both in common, in order to say that one should not be angry with anyone, it is said, "Some are deluded," and so on. Because of the inverted attachment to self and what belongs to self, some (certain people) cause harm, that is, striking with sticks, etc., or committing the fault of the eight prohibitions, that is done by oneself. If another causes harm, then one becomes angry with him, that is, one becomes angry. The deluded, that is, completely deluded, do not heed the relationship between one's own actions and their fruits, that is, they strike again because of the obscuration of ignorance, and strive to struggle, etc.
