This is to show how to act like a state without afflictions. This can be shown by words such as "attachment." When one sees one's own mind being attached or hateful, do not even move hands and feet, etc., and do not say anything. Otherwise, the expressions of body and speech caused by this will also become completely filled with afflictions. Therefore, gather the discriminating thoughts of the senses towards external actions, and at that time abide like a tree. Because of being separated from all actions, remember that all dharmas are without an agent, and abide like a tree. Furthermore, "distraction" refers to being more distracted than even faith in listening to the sacred Dharma, etc., meaning more inattentive. Restraint refers to striving to control the limits of speech. The pride that accompanies these refers to inner arrogance. Haughtiness refers to the mind being attached to impure things, and being accompanied by these means being completely accompanied by these. Revealing faults refers to the limits of the body, and being accompanied by this is distraction. Cunning refers to being deceitful or deceptive. Deceitful mind refers to deceiving or being deceptive. When the mind becomes like that, then abide like a tree. This is related to the above. Praising oneself refers to extremely showing one's own good qualities. Appearing there refers to appearing there, because discrimination is made there. Slandering others refers to subduing others or eliminating faults, and being accompanied by this. Scolding refers to slandering the words of others. Arguing refers to always thinking about the reasons for fighting and arguing, and here the abbreviated phrase "abiding accompanied by this" is used for both. Therefore, when seeing one's own mind, then abide like a tree. This is related to the general teaching. Fame refers to being wonderful. Retinue refers to male servants, female servants, and workers, etc. Serving refers to washing feet and massaging, etc. Seeking these refers to desire, and I should let my mind abide like a tree from these. Abandoning the benefit of others refers to turning away from the benefit of others. Seeking one's own benefit refers to being attached to one's own benefit. Attendant retinue refers to students and attendants.

etc., are gathered together. These people desire manifestation and pursue those retinues. Intolerance refers to the state of being without patience. Laziness means being unsuitable for doing things, which means懈怠 (xie dai, laxity). Fear refers to the fear of body and life, or the source of fear. Common effort means everyone working together. Talking nonsense refers to speaking badly, or speaking arbitrarily regardless of reason and unreasonableness. One's own side refers to students, attendants, relatives, and fathers, etc. Attachment means being very biased and stubborn. Now only the aspect of correction is mentioned. Like "that" etc., it is according to the order of the teachings. Completely afflicted means having complete afflictions. After realizing that one's own mind has fruitless actions, prevent all entry, reduce the power, punish and suppress it. The teaching refers to the Dharma nature that will not re-enter. In order to gain victory from the battlefield of the enemy of afflictions, the bodhisattva strives like a warrior. The antidote refers to what is shown as an antidote to what, such as showing impurity etc. for greed etc. It means that it should be used to turn away from that. Always refers to all times, that is, when one realizes complete afflictions. In the "Fierce Asker Sutra," it is said for the householder bodhisattva. Therefore, one should avoid the place of carelessness of grain wine and mixed wine, because in this way one will not be drunk, not confused, not mistaken, not speak indecent words, not be unclear, not be arrogant, not be rude, not be distracted, will maintain mindfulness, and will have correct knowledge. Similarly, in "That Sutra," it is said for the ordained bodhisattva. Mindfulness and correct knowledge are not distracted. Similarly, in the "Holy Tathagata Secret Sutra" it is also said: Son of good family, the bodhisattva's language should not be rough, should not be hateful, should not be afflicted, should not be momentarily clear, should not be words praising one's own side, should not be words punishing the other side, should not be greedy for praising oneself.
