searching, and not striving for the mediator who cuts between them, not generating small suffering and discomfort as mediators for great suffering and discomfort, not abandoning small meanings for the sake of accomplishing great meanings, and if abandoned even for a single moment, it is with downfall. In short, there is no downfall for matters that are not within one's ability, because there is no fruit in that, so there is no established training. Others are inherently faulty, so they must be prevented. If one strives for an object that is not within one's ability, it will indirectly become a downfall, because it does not need to be considered, it is universally included in the confession of sins, so it can be liberated from it. Those are, in short, the body of the bodhisattva's training, if explained in detail, it needs to be shown with the edge of immeasurable eons. Or in short, there are two downfalls of the bodhisattva: starting after examining what is reasonable and unreasonable as much as possible, or not returning, or putting it aside, it is with downfall. If one exceeds the proper limit after examination, even if punished by a slave of a lowly person, it is with downfall. If someone wants to understand those contents in detail in order to become familiar with them, then for the time being, one should diligently strive to learn only the aspects of behavior from the Compendium of Trainings. Because even just starting to learn the training has great fruit, as it is said in the scriptures, it is like praising the completely peaceful and thoroughly determined miracle. The bodhisattva's training has been briefly explained. This is what is said. The difficult commentary on the Bodhisattva's Conduct, the fourth chapter made by Wisdom Source Intelligence. Thus, after explaining the abandonment and protection of the body and so on, in order to further explain the protection, purification, and purification in detail, the treatise is started, the bodhisattva who has generated the mind of enlightenment, abandoning the body must also protect, purify, and increase, for what? For the enjoyment of sentient beings. The body and so on should be given as charity, if not protected, it will arise from enjoyment, and what is given if not used? Therefore, for sentient beings

For the sake of enjoyment, do not abandon virtuous friends, constantly observe the sutras, and protect the body and so on, as it is taught. Protecting the body and so on entirely, that also transforms from guarding the precepts. If it is not like that, it will not transform, because sentient beings fall into hell and other evil realms. Therefore, this should be said: 'Precepts' means what should be learned, that is, by holding vows, one should learn to do what is permitted and not do what is forbidden. One should guard it, that is, one should completely protect it. 'Desire' means the Bodhisattva of desire, one should guard one's own mind. 'Extremely diligent' means those who will explain it. If so, why should one guard the mind when guarding the precepts? It is said that the precepts have been spoken, but if it is not like that, one cannot guard the precepts. If one does not guard the wavering and uncontrolled mind, then because the mind wavers, it is not appropriate to teach the precepts. Therefore, one should only guard the mind. It is taught like this, such as 'untamed elephant,' which means not purified. 'Drunk' means the supreme elephant, which does not cause harm such as hell in this world and the next. The mind that acts and abides according to its own desires is like a drunken elephant, so how can the command of the Tathagata tame it with an iron hook? The merit of taming it is like 'bound,' which means how is it bound? 'Mindfulness' means the nature of what will be explained. That is like a rope, because it is a means of binding. 'All' means in all aspects, to prevent entering the path of non-holiness. At that time, there will be no fear, which means it will be destroyed. 'All' means without remainder. 'All good' means the nature of higher rebirth and definite goodness. 'Coming' means obtaining, just as when it rains, it is said that rice grows. Are there not many ferocious beasts, angry ones, and snakes that can cause harm? How is it fearless from them by taming the mind?
