Because the mind with power could not bear their suffering, it commanded the doctors to quickly eliminate the pain of these people's illnesses. They also replied in the same way, "As you command," and then looked at the medical scriptures, and found no other way to help except for the immediate flesh of the fish Rohita, so they again requested the king in the same way, and spread it widely. This is also mentioned in the "Hymn of Birth" written by the teacher Lashi (la ཀྵི་). "Eliminating all pain" means eliminating the various pains arising from body and mind. The self is a place to be despised, it is very bad and ignorant. Even knowing this, if one does not act according to the teachings of the Tathāgata, it is to turn away and not rely on them. At that time, I will have the most extreme ignorance, and I am to be despised, that is the meaning. Why is this so? Because it says "cliff" and so on. An ordinary cliff is a small cliff on a mountain, etc., where one suffers the pain of breaking bones or dying. "Falling a thousand yojanas" means falling into a cliff like the Avīci hell of thousands of yojanas. "Long time" refers to the length of time such as intermediate kalpas. In this way, death is not seen. Why abandon a happier situation than before for no reason? If one cannot dispel such doubts, one says "today" and so on. "Will not be eaten by ghosts," this is certain. Even so, is it not frightening? It says "I am not afraid" and so on. Who can make the one who dwells in a state of no fear not afraid? Which holy person gave me fearlessness? That is the meaning. Or, if there is indeed a way to liberation, then it is not frightening. But that does not exist. How can one be sure of liberation from this suffering? It will not be liberated. The Bhagavan said that all living things will eventually go to death. In order to show that one cannot be at ease in this way, it says "experienced before" and so on. "Attached to" means craving. "The Lama's" means Buddha.

Of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and virtuous spiritual friends. Therefore, here one should remember this day and night, as it is said, "When alive," etc. "When alive" refers to the world of sentient beings. And "this" refers to the characteristic of beings of the same kind, such as humans. "Alone" means without friends. "Killer" refers to an uncertain situation. "From non-virtue" means from non-virtuous actions. "That" refers to non-virtuous actions. Now, in order to show that one should confess downfalls with great attachment by ascertaining actions and their results, "I," etc., is said. "Child" means ignorance. "By ignorance" means by the darkness of ignorance. "Whatever little" refers to body, speech, and mind. "Naturally negative" refers to the nature of the ten non-virtuous actions, such as killing. "Prohibited sins" refers to the nature of what the Bhagavan prohibited, such as untimely food, for those who have taken vows. "I confess" means to arouse the expression of speech. "Joining palms" refers to the expression of the body. "Bowing again and again" means to show extreme sadness. "Downfall" refers to falling into hell, etc., because of this, it is a downfall. "Because the action is non-virtuous, it is a fault, it is a sin." Please listen, know, see, and understand. With an unblemished mind, I will eliminate it, because I have nothing to hide. Again, fearing laxity and wanting to abandon it, in order to not do it again from now on, I take vows, saying "Protector," etc. When the noble ones are pleased, where the noble ones are satisfied, what is not praised by the wise, is not a good protector, is inferior, and is called the action of non-saints. From then on, knowing and seeing clearly, because the mind has been preoccupied, I should not do it again, and I take vows not to do it again in the future. These will also be clearly explained when removing the three aggregates. A difficult commentary on Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life, Explanation.

The second chapter, Confession of Sins, composed by Sarabjungne Lodro. Volume Four. Now, immediately after confessing sins, rejoicing in merit. As stated in "All sentient beings," etc. Those who are exhausted from experiencing suffering in realms such as hell, relying on the maturation of well-done deeds, attain happiness and are able to rest for a short time. "Rejoicing with joy" means to rejoice truly with an extremely joyful mind. There are also three ways to rejoice: through body, speech, and mind. Among these, mental rejoicing is to rejoice truly with an extremely joyful mind; bodily rejoicing is to experience goosebumps, tears, trembling of the body, etc.; verbal rejoicing is to say with a truly joyful mind, "Well done! Very well done! Excellently done!" Thus, praising with the mouth and rejoicing. "May the suffering ones dwell in happiness" means to think, "May they attain whatever they did that deed for." After rejoicing in worldly deeds, rejoicing in transcendental deeds, as stated in "Sentient beings," etc. "Definite liberation from suffering" refers to the Bodhi of a Hearer, the Bodhi of a Solitary Realizer, or the mind; whatever is generated for that purpose is called that. At that time, those who abide in the three Bodhis should also be included. "Sentient beings" refers to living beings. Among "Bodhisattvas and Buddhas," Bodhisattvas are the causal stage of the Bhagavan, and Buddhas are the resultant stage. Saviors are the guides who have realized the path within their own minds, as stated in "Saviors speak of the path of seeing"; whoever possesses that is called that. Alternatively, "savior" means the cause. As long as samsara is not empty, they abide in non-abiding Nirvana. Rejoicing in the merits of Bodhisattvas, as stated in "Mind," etc. The arising of the mind moment by moment is also limitless and unfathomable.
