Because it clarifies that things do not exist and are separate, it must be false and not true. That is also because it is a completely examined thing. In this way, things and non-things all abide in the nature of being completely examined, and all dharmas exist in the manner of being without self-nature. Moreover, in order to clearly show this with a concluding aspect, dreams and so on are spoken of. Because things and non-things are the proximate object of examination, therefore it is the meaning of falsity, therefore it is a dream. In the state where sleep oppresses the mind, a son is born, and when it is destroyed, the discrimination that there is no son is the discrimination of non-existence. What does it do? It is an obstacle to the arising of the discrimination of existence. If it exists, then the son exists. That existence is the thing itself. The discrimination of it is superimposition, those are what arise and occur. It is an obstacle because it obstructs. If that is the case, is that it itself? It is false because that is examined. The obstruction of thinking it exists is also false and not true, because the son in the dream is unborn and unceasing. Or, for the son himself who wants to appear truly to die in a dream, all of these should be combined. In this way, the arising and ceasing of all dharmas should be observed and examined with knowledge. This will be said, for example, a dream is a seen thing that is unborn and unceasing, things and non-things indicated by knowledge, do not exist in the ultimate sense, however, through discrimination, they appear vividly in the face of conventional reality, and that discrimination is also with a non-existent object, so it is not valid cognition, because its object is also without self-nature in the ultimate sense. Similarly, in the state of being awake, the object of focus is also those that have entered the path of the conventional terms of things and non-things, it is an imputation indicated by discrimination. In this way, since it is not valid cognition, it is not contradictory that all dharmas are without self-nature, as it is said: arising and abiding and ceasing, you speak of it with worldly thoughts, therefore it is merely examination that all dharmas are shown. Where is emptiness?

After examination, it is said to be without deliberation. Thus, everything is in accordance. In this way, by the very nature of having no cause, by the powerful, and by the actions of the lord, sentient beings are eliminated, and the meaning of not arising from no cause is established. In order to conclude, it is said, "Therefore, thus," and so on. Because even a little of the fruit that has changed from nature and so on cannot arise. Therefore, examine it in this way, that is, by the method of examination just mentioned. No uncaused existence is possible, because from the non-cause of nature and so on, no fruit that is born exists, because it does not exist. This is a close analogy. What is done by a man, time, etc. does not exist, because they are also without cause. Therefore, it is established that it is not without cause. If, assuming that something does not exist from the uncaused nature, power, lord, etc., even so, from this visible cause, the ultimate truth arises, how can everything be established as without self-nature? In order to meet the doubts of others, in order to show the meaning with the three sentences of "not from oneself, not from another, not from both," it is said, "Each or," and so on. That is, for each or a collection of things, it is not originally. Among them, each thing is not born from itself and others for each one. It is also not for the collected things, because both self and other are conditions, that is, the causes. Abiding, that is, abiding in the nature of being born It is not possible at all. Among them, for the time being, things do not arise from themselves, because before birth, their nature does not exist, from what will they arise? When it is born, the nature exists, and that has already been established, so what will be born again? In addition, if it is born from itself, then what has already been born will be born again, and that is also unreasonable, because it is unreasonable to do again what has already been done. If what has already been born is born again, then because the seeds and so on themselves will continue to cycle, there is no chance for the sprouts and so on to be produced even hundreds of times. If this is admitted, it will also violate worldly experience.
