it will become endless. However, it is from the object of measurement itself that the valid cognition is established. If there is doubt as to how that could be endless, then "however" and so on are stated. 'However' is to dispel the thoughts of others. However, it is to be understood that it is established by the power of the object of measurement. If that is the case, what is the basis for the existence of the knowable? That is to say, if the establishment of knowledge is done by the power of the knowable, then at that time, if the knowable becomes the reason for establishing the existence of knowledge, then it must also be asked, from which valid cognition is that established? Instead of seeking another knowledge for the sake of establishing the object of measurement by relying on the existence of the knowable, it must be said from what is that other knowledge established? Therefore, if it is said that it is established from the knowable, then from what is the knowable established? If other knowledge is sought to establish it, it will be endless and ultimately become endless. If that is the case, if in order to establish the knower or the knowable, it relies on other knowledge, it will be so, but if they establish each other mutually, how will it fall into the fault of speech? Because the thoughts of others have preceded, "if mutually" and so on are said. If it is also said in this way, mutually, the knower and the knowable are also by the power of each other, if by power it is determined that the knower and the knowable both exist, if it is said that there is the knowable by the power of the knower, and there is the knower by the power of the knowable, if that is the case, both will not exist, both the knower and the knowable will not exist, and if one does not exist and is not established, because one depends on the other, if one is not established, the second will not be established either. Here, in order to show an example that is in accordance with nature, "if father" and so on are said. Father is the generator, if a woman, if there is no son. This is a term that depends on the son being the generator, so from where does the son come? Because there is no father, the son to be generated arises and is born, why? Because without a son there is no father. This sentence is a statement of reason. Because there is no son, there is no father.

If the father exists, then it is not; it will not become the son, and the father will not produce the son. Moreover, if the son is not born, then the father will not become the father, because before that, it is impossible for the son to become the son from the son. Because they are interdependent, if one does not exist, the other does not exist. Both do not exist. This is the summarized meaning. In order to relate this meaning to what appears in the example, it is said, "Likewise," just as here the father and son are given as examples, the two, knowledge and the knowable, do not exist, and likewise, they are not things. In this way, it should be known that the knowledge to be known is also called the knowable. Knowledge being completely defined is also the knowable. As long as knowledge has not been established, then complete knowledge will not be established, and before that, its complete definition itself will not be established, because they are interdependent, so both do not exist, this is his thought. If that is the case, it cannot be said that it is established by mutual power, but the result of the knowable is auspicious. In order to dispel the thought of others that knowledge arises from that like a sprout and a seed, it is said, "The sprout grows from the seed." The seed is contained within the hollow and the hole, and from that seed the sprout grows, just as it is said and understood, here also is the knowable, that is, the thing to be measured. Knowledge arises and is established. It exists, that is, the thing to be known exists and truly exists. Why is it not understood? Because here also, like the seed and the sprout, there are cause and effect things. In order to show that this is not like the example, it is said, "The sprout," and so on. If it is understood that the seed exists in the sprout, that is, the fruit, it is not only the power of this, but from other, that is, knowledge different from the sprout, it is understood that it exists. In this way, it is impossible to allow the cause to be understood by the result alone, otherwise the seed itself, apart from producing the sprout, would also be understood, only through understanding its own essence, and not through the fruit and the cause.
