It is not existent, because there is no woman, and there is no man. Therefore, it is not reasonable to have attachment based on considering things that do not have a body as women, etc. Why is that? Because all dharmas are devoid of characteristics. Just as this is mainly explained here, it should also be understood for rosaries and sandalwood, etc. Similarly, the objects of hatred and delusion are also the same. As shown in the "Meeting of Father and Son Sutra": Great King, this person is the six elements, the six sense spheres of contact, and the eighteen mental activities. What is the basis for saying that this person is the six elements? Great King, the six elements are these. What are the six elements? They are: the earth element, the water element, the fire element, the wind element, the space element, and the consciousness element. Great King, these are the six elements. This person is called the six elements, and it is said based on this. What is the basis for saying that this person is the six sense spheres of contact? Great King, the six sense spheres of contact are these. What are the six sense spheres of contact? They are: the eye sense sphere of contact for seeing forms; the ear sense sphere of contact for hearing sounds; the nose sense sphere of contact for smelling odors; the tongue sense sphere of contact for tasting flavors; the body sense sphere of contact for touching tangible objects; and the mind sense sphere of contact for knowing dharmas. Great King, these are the six sense spheres of contact. This person is called the six sense spheres of contact, and it is said based on this. Great King, what is the basis for saying that this person is the eighteen mental activities? Great King, the eighteen mental activities are these. What are the eighteen mental activities? They are: when the eye sees a form, the mind experiences pleasure, displeasure, and equanimity, and thus experiences the form. Similarly, it should also be said for the ear, etc. Great King, for the eighteen mental activities,

Which are the six practices that bring happiness to the mind, which are the six practices that bring discomfort to the mind, and which are the six practices that turn into equanimity? Combining these together, they become the eighteen practices of the mind. Great King, these eighteen are the practices of the mind. Similarly, combining them, Great King, what is the earth element? Whatever it may be, for this body, the internal room has the form of hardness and roughness, approaching and occupying. What is that? For example, hair, body hair, nails, and so on. Great King, what is the external earth element? Whatever it may be, the external form of hardness and roughness, not approaching and not occupying, this is called the external earth element. Great King, when the internal earth element arises, it does not come from anywhere; when it ceases, it does not go anywhere either. Great King, a woman inwardly thinks, "I am a woman," and having determined inwardly that she is a woman, she outwardly thinks of a man as a man. Having determined outwardly that a man is a man, she becomes attached and desires to meet the external man. A man also inwardly thinks, "I am a man," and having determined inwardly that he is a man, he outwardly thinks of a woman as a woman. Having determined outwardly that a woman is a woman, he becomes attached and desires to meet the external woman. Because he desires to meet, he will meet. Because of the cause of meeting, there will be a time when erection arises. Great King, whatever is universally discriminated and whatever is universally conceived, both of these do not exist. For a woman, there is no woman. For a man, there is no man. In this way, universally conceiving arises without existence and without being true, and that universal conception is also non-existent in its own nature. Universal conception, like meeting and erection, is also non-existent in its own nature. If something is non-existent in its own nature, how can hardness arise? Great King, having understood universal conception in this way, one should then understand the nature of hardness, where does hardness come from when it arises?

It should be known that I will not come. Great King, it is like this, the time when this body will eventually turn into the end of a charnel ground exists, when its solidity is destroyed and ceases, it will not go to the east, south, west, north, above, below, and also not to the various directional corners. Great King, the inner earth element should be viewed in this way. As before, for it, Great King, like this, the arising of the earth element is also empty, the destruction and arising of the earth element are also empty in their own nature. Great King, the earth element is merely a designation, apart from the designation, the earth element itself is not found, this designation is neither woman nor man. Great King, like this, it should also be realized with wisdom as it is, thus it was said. Therefore, what should be examined? It is not an object of examination. Why is that? Because all dharmas are free from examination. Like this, after explaining the mindfulness of the body, in order to explain the mindfulness of feelings, the analytical observation of feelings was explained. Feelings are of three kinds, namely pleasant feeling, painful feeling, and neither painful nor pleasant feeling. Regarding this, like form, feeling is also not ultimately existent. How is it? If suffering is not the experience of pleasure, and it itself is ultimately existent, then its feeling would not harm joy, why would those with joy not become suffering? If pleasure is ultimately existent, then at that time, sorrow, etc., etc., include being tormented by desire, fear, and madness, etc. Sweet, etc., if it is pleasure. Sweet, etc., are the supreme foods and drinks, etc. Etc., includes the pleasure of flowers and sandalwood, etc., because it is the cause of pleasure. If it is pleasure, why does it not bring joy? If it is the nature of things, for a hundred situations, it is also not the opposite of pleasure. Therefore, the experience of pleasure and pain is established by realization. Saying that, why does it not harm extreme joy? To this, another answers
