It is emptiness. Because of that reason, there are no particles either. Since there are no subtle particles, like this, hands and so on should also be examined with discernment and seen as having no self-nature. Therefore, the body also does not exist even slightly in the ultimate sense, because it is shown to be separate from one and many. In that way, sounds and so on are neither self nor mind, and the body is not an object of clinging to self. Therefore, since the nature aroused by ignorance, although not existing in self and so on, will still be clung to as self, consciousness will arise in the nature of having no object. Therefore, as it is said: Since there is nothing that is myself, who is there to be afraid of? This is how it is established. All of these will show the mindfulness of the body. As it is said, in the Collection of True Dharmas: Son of good family, furthermore, the Bodhisattva thus contemplates the body, this body is the feet, toes, instep, thighs, sixteen veins, abdomen, navel, spine, heart, chest, ribs, hands, arms, shoulders, elbows, neck, cheeks, forehead, head, skull gathered It is merely accumulated by the actions arising from karma, and is the abode of hundreds of thousands of different afflictions and near afflictions, as well as conceptualizations and discriminations. Here, many substances are gathered, like this: hair, body hair, nails, teeth, bones, skin, flesh, outer flesh, tendons, fat, oil, pus, spleen, urine, feces, stomach, large intestine, blood, mucus, bile, pus, saliva, phlegm, lymph. Thus, if many substances are gathered, then how should this be called a body? Thus, one establishes mindfulness of the body. When discriminating them separately, one thinks like this: This body is like the sky. Thus, one establishes mindfulness of the body like the sky. All of them are seen like the sky. In order to fully understand the body, one does not settle the mind anywhere, does not discriminate, does not discriminate, does not scatter, so it is said.

Furthermore, it was said: This body does not come from the beginning of the past, nor does it go to the end of the future. It does not abide in the beginning of the past or the end of the future. Moreover, there is no agent or experiencer arising from false inversions, no beginning, end, or middle, no root dwelling, no owner, no "mine," no complete grasping. The terms "joints," "body," "enjoyment," "place," "taste," and "sense bases" are merely temporary designations. This body is without essence, arising from the sperm and blood of parents, an impure and decaying thing, naturally foul-smelling, fearful due to desire, hatred, and ignorance, disturbed by the thieving of laziness, constantly separated by fear, of the nature of destruction, a collection of hundreds and thousands of different internal and external parts. One should thus abide in mindfulness of the body. Similarly, when analyzed with the nature of emptiness, like the sky in all aspects, it is the body. At that time, by falsely clinging to the reality of false things, desire and other afflictions arise, and thus foolish people increase the cycle of rebirth. To explain this, it was said, "Thus," and so on. "Thus" refers to the order of narration. Like a dream, who would become attached to and cling to an unpleasant object appearing in a dream? This is merely an analogy, so it should also be understood that who would become angry and who would become deluded? Similarly, in pleasant places, seeing various forms with the eyes, desire arises. In unpleasant places, seeing various forms with the eyes, anger arises. In neutral places, seeing various forms with the eyes, ignorance arises. If those forms are not contrary to the mind, one acts in accordance with them, and thus attachment arises. For forms that are not in accordance with the mind, one acts in a discordant manner, and thus anger arises.

Nor does it conform to what is agreeable. Those that are neither agreeable nor conforming are acted upon with ignorance, and thus ignorance will arise in this. Likewise, experiencing and focusing on sounds and so on in three ways is as before. To this, who is the one with discernment? Extremely, the eye-source is empty of its own nature. Therefore, one does not focus on the prior limit, nor does one focus on the later limit, nor does one focus on the middle, because it is empty of its own nature. Likewise, one should also understand this for the ear and so on. Likewise, extremely, the form-source is empty of the nature of form, as before. Likewise, sounds and so on should also be stated. Thus, the faculties are like illusions, and the objects are like dreams. How can attachment and so on arise for whomever they belong to? Therefore it is said, "The discerning one," that is, the wise and learned one, likewise, this, as it truly is, as it truly is, who, seeing with true wisdom, would become attached? Would one become hateful or ignorant? This should also be shown closely by the example spoken by the Bhagavan of the beautiful woman and so on seen in a dream. In order to show that even without a body, it is not reasonable to be attached by understanding women and so on. He spoke of the body and so on, and the word "also" gathers the reasons. Because of what does one not become attached by discriminating women and so on? When the body is absent by the reasoning of speaking like this, that is, when there is no own nature, because there is no body, who is the woman? Who is the one who causes attachment, how does attachment arise towards the man who is to be attached to? And who is the man? Who is the one who is attached, how does attachment arise towards the woman who is to be delighted in? The woman also discriminates herself as a woman, and then towards the other man, she generates attachment as a man. Likewise, the man also discriminates himself as a man, and then discriminating the woman as a woman, he generates attachment. Even without a body, there is no woman as a woman. There is no man as a man. Whatever by its own nature
