Sa so. Whether alive or dead, what use is it to me? Because it is different from me, and here it is of no use to oneself. Therefore, what difference is there between it and a donkey, etc.? This is how it is shown. If it is said that there is a difference because of the basis of clinging to self, then it is said here, Alas! It does not eliminate pride, even if examined in this way, because it has been familiar for a long time. How can you not be afraid, and how can you be destroyed? This is the final word. Wanting to show that, therefore, it is said body, etc. This body is mine, thus clinging to self with manifest clinging, you become a heap of suffering, pride, etc., for no reason. And why is it said like this? It is said attachment, etc. To this body, which is like a donkey, there is hatred, that is, anger, and attachment, that is, manifest clinging, for no reason. What use is it? There is no use at all. Why is it like this again? It is said mine, etc. Like this, cherishing and nourishing in the manner of taking care of everything, or even when vultures and jackals, etc., eat it, it is of no use, yet one is attached to it. There is no hatred even for the harming vultures, etc. Like that, one is attached to that which is like wood and without consciousness. Showing that it is similar to wood, because it is not grasped, it shows that it has fruit. It is said whatever, etc. The body is not considered mine, and it is abandoned, therefore there is no anger towards this, and whatever is offered, that is, respectfully served, and is satisfied, that is, very happy, will not arise in me, because that has no consciousness, so it is unknowing, that is, not awakened. Relying on that, one is tired and exhausted by the nature of anger and attachment, whatever is done to it is of no use to me, that is the meaning. Thus you should learn. Thus, having awakened one's own mind, in order to summarize and show the nature of exchanging self and others. It is said whatever body this, etc. This is me

That is, some people consider the body desirable, that is, wanting to accomplish benefit and happiness, or considering the mind happy. That is also my friend, a synonym for a place of attachment and clinging. Also, the word "གི་" does not only refer to oneself. The so-called "ཁོ་བོ་ (khowo)" is not true if analyzed with reason. Even so, in any case, it is also shared with others, in order to show the closeness of this reasoning. Therefore, it is said that "everything is one's own body" and so on. If there is a strong attachment to one's own body, then other weak beings, that is, beings different from this, also consider their own body desirable. The order of expression, the reasons are no different, why should I not like them? Because for me, the difference in causes has already been eliminated, so I should also like them, that is the meaning. Now, in order to summarize the meaning to be explained, therefore it is said "therefore" and so on. Because without abandoning attachment to self, one cannot perfectly accomplish the benefit of beings, therefore one must abandon dependence on all things. The so-called benefiting beings is for the purpose of accomplishing the benefit of all sentient beings, therefore, whatever is related to benefiting sentient beings, then even if this body has many faults, even if it is a place of many faults, it should be treated like using a tool, it should be placed or protected, just like treating a useful object. As it is said: "All other thoughts are abandoned, my mind is solely focused." And so on, in order to summarize these, therefore it is said "therefore" and so on. If one cannot equally abide in the mind, one cannot eliminate afflictions, therefore, worldly behavior is enough, there is no need for anything. Because worldly behavior is a meaningless cause. Therefore, the wise, that is, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who know the true nature, and others who abide in their teachings, should all follow them and learn their teachings. How to learn? Remembering the words of caution, that is, what is said in the fourth and seventh chapters, and what is said in the Compendium of Trainings and so on. Carelessness is the distraction of body and mind, and one must return from that.
