Isn't it also possible to see a difference in the result? For example, if one clings to the light of a lamp, thinking it is a jewel, and goes to that place, one will not encounter a jewel. However, if one thinks that seeing the light of a jewel is seeing the jewel, and goes to that place, one will encounter a jewel. In both cases, there is illusion, and although the illusion is no different, the result is different. As it is said: In the light of a lamp and the light of a jewel, the mind manifestly pursues the jewel, without difference from wrong knowledge, how can there be a difference in function? Thus, as long as there is a continuity of cause and effect, and knowledge is related to things, there is attainment. Where there is no connection between knowledge and things, even through continuity, there is no attainment, and there is a difference between attaining and being attained, which is only logical. But here it is not so, because there is no difference between the two. If it is said that this does not correspond to the example, that is not reasonable. Although there is no difference in illusion, a difference is seen in the result. With just this difference, it corresponds to the example. It is not that all illusions have a common result; this is merely the general rule that one wants to manifest here. It is also not to be applied so that the qualities of the example correspond in everything. If it is said that even so, it does not correspond to the example, then in any case, there is correspondence with the example, there is no doubt. For meanings that are extremely hidden, those who possess understanding should enter through the words of the Blessed One. Thus, although there is no difference in illusion here, there is the ability to accomplish such a result, some can accomplish it, and some cannot, which should be understood through scripture, because dependent arising is inconceivable. In any case, without the benefit of others, one's own benefit cannot be accomplished. Just as "a servant cannot do the work," etc., this shows a little of the visible dharma. Here, in conventional truth, there is no illusion whatsoever in the existence of cause and effect, and therefore it is different from a false conventional truth.

It is not like that. The Yogacara school also says that the names of all causes and effects are false, because they rely on external things, and all aims are false. This is derived from these words. Therefore, although illusions are not different, the reasons are different, so everything is appropriate. Therefore, one should be driven by the ultimate intention and combine one's own mind with that thing itself. It is said, "I am controlled by others," and so on. "Your mind must" means that here there should be no doubt or reversal. From now on, apart from the needs of all sentient beings, do not consider your own or others' needs, etc. It means do not even think with your mind. Why should one consider one's own needs? It is said, "Others are," and so on. One's own benefit is one's own need. The eye is for seeing, etc., and also includes hearing, etc. That is for others, and the eyes, etc., also include the ears, etc. Hands, etc., here also include feet, etc. When you are sure that you are related to others, through that reason, take sentient beings as the main, be controlled by other sentient beings, and participate in their needs. This is the summary. "On my body" refers to relying on it. Whatever comfortable things such as clothes are seen and understood, the distinction is expressed with repeated words, meaning that it is all, not a little. Taking and separating from one's own body, combine beneficial and desired things. Now, for the inferior, etc., generate the thought of eliminating the mental sins of arrogance, etc. It is said, "Inferior, etc.," and so on. Arrogance arises in relation to the inferior, competition arises in relation to the equal, and jealousy arises in relation to the superior. These are the behaviors of children. As it was said before, "Jealousy for the high, competition for the equal." Although all of this is the cause of affliction, by exchanging oneself and others, it becomes the cause of purification. Therefore, this itself is without discrimination, etc.
