Because even feelings become joyful through habituation, it is said that we should not turn back, so it is said to know difficulties and so on. It is said, starting from "This is not possible," do not turn back. Why? Because from where do you see the power of habit? Hearing what and being afraid refers to becoming frightened, fearful, and sad when heard in the ear. Afterwards, starting from obtaining a small cause, because of the power of being accustomed to suffering, if that cause of fear disappears, it will become unpleasant. Furthermore, it is also seen that there is this need, to show that one should become the power of habituation with a respectful attitude. It is said, "Who is oneself" and so on, whoever quickly and swiftly wants to save and protect from all the fears of suffering, should practice that, which is the exchange of self and others. What does it become like? The secret saint, or is it because those who are not of their kind are afraid? In order to eliminate distrust, it should be very secret, otherwise, because they are abandoned, those will fall into the lower realms. It is said, "Which self has faults" and so on, in order to show in detail the self of oneself and others, faults and virtues. It is said, "One's own body" and so on, "Because it is stable" refers to the manifest clinging that arises from clinging to self. Small refers to the fear of samsara, even less than a moment. Because it is the cause of the fear of samsara, it is fear, or the fear examined by discrimination, this is called fear. For a self that has become like this, who is the one with a mind who hates, who is the one with a mind who does not hate, it is what should be hated, that is the meaning. What is that? Like an enemy, who causes fear, in the order of statement, like an enemy, who causes fear. The thought is this, even enemies are hated. Because it causes suffering. That also exists in this, why not be afraid? It is what should be feared. In order to state other faults, it is said, "Which is inferior" and so on, the inferior is the sick person.

Yes. Hunger is intense thirst, and thirst is the desire for downfall. The word "etc." refers to being separated from clothes, etc. Among these, the ritual of healing is generally conditioning. Is it a synonym for approaching tranquility? Or conditioning for these, the one who desires to heal it, for what reason, such as diseased food and medicine, kills birds, fish, and wild animals, causing them to be separated from life. Which wise person would be attached to that body? "Attachment," etc., will be related to what is to be explained. The one who waits for the road abides, and is called a thief who enters from a non-road, which is a synonym for robbing others of their possessions. Similarly, parents also, they also kill for their own gain and offerings, thinking that these gains or respects obtained for survival belong to me. The Three Jewels refer to the nature of the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. Treasure is wealth, and stealing is taking away. The reason stated before is also related here to "Which wise person would be attached to that body?" Whoever has committed patricide, etc., will be burned by the fire of Avici hell, etc., born from that karma. This is just a symbol, and will also be burned by other hellfires. Or, the one who steals the property of the Three Jewels will suffer extreme heat, etc., because it is similar to the suffering of Avici hell. Having seen these faults in this way, which wise person, a person with wisdom, would be attached to and love oneself, who is the cause of all these sufferings? Protecting, that is, completely protecting, and offering, that is, offering with what is obtained. Do not look at it as an enemy, but still it should be viewed that easily, because it is the cause of all suffering, which is a subtle indication. Thus, to the place of reproach, which wise person would not despise but would serve? This is a synonym. Having thus spoken of one's own faults, one wishes to show the faults and merits of oneself and others.
