If seen, it does not bring joy, and the mind is not focused. Even when seen, it is not satisfying, so one suffers from desire as before. If one becomes attached to sentient beings, then one is completely obscured from reality. It also destroys the mind of renunciation, and ultimately one will suffer from sorrow. With just that thought, this life will be spent in vain. Impermanent friends will also destroy the eternal Dharma. If one shares with the inferior, one will surely fall into the lower realms. If one leads those who are not equal, what is the use of relying on the inferior? In a single moment, one becomes a friend, and in a short time, one becomes an enemy. One becomes angry in a place of joy, so it is difficult to please ordinary beings. If one speaks of benefit, one becomes angry, and I also retreat from benefit. If one does not listen to their words, then one will fall into the lower realms due to anger. One is jealous of the high, competes with the equal, is arrogant towards the low, becomes haughty when praised, and becomes angry when unpleasant things are said. When will one ever receive benefit from the inferior? If one associates with the inferior, then with the inferior, self-praise and disparagement of others, and talk of delight in samsara, etc., unwholesomeness will surely arise in any case. Thus, self and relying on others, that only leads to destruction. They have not worked for their own benefit, and I will not be for their benefit, so one should stay far away from the inferior. When meeting, please them with joy, but do not let them become intimate. It is better to be just ordinary. Like a bee taking honey from a flower, after taking the meaning of the Dharma, as if never seen before, one should abide without intimacy. I have much gain and respect, and many people like me, if one holds such pride, fear will arise after death. Therefore, the extremely ignorant mind, whatever it becomes attached to, when that and that combine and become empty, it becomes suffering and arises. Therefore, the wise should not be attached, for fear arises from attachment. These will abandon their nature, so be steadfast and contemplate well. If much gain is obtained, and fame and praise arise, but with the assembly of gain and fame, there is no certainty where one will go. If there are others who slander me, what joy do I have in being praised? If there are others who praise me,
