The stability of the mind comes from a transformation of the previous state. Therefore, endure harm and do not be overcome by suffering. Even when a wise person encounters suffering, they do not disturb the peace of their mind. Engage in battle with afflictions, and in battle, there will be much harm. Endure all suffering and destroy enemies such as hatred. Those are the victorious heroes; the rest are like killing a corpse. Furthermore, the virtues of suffering are that it eliminates arrogance through weariness, generates compassion for beings in samsara, shies away from sin, and rejoices in virtue. Do not be angry at the source of suffering, such as bile. Why be angry at sentient beings? All of these are driven by conditions. For example, just as illness occurs unwillingly, similarly, afflictions arise strongly even unwillingly. Even without thinking of being angry, people still become angry. Even without thinking of generating it, anger arises in the same way. All faults and various kinds of sins arise from the power of conditions and are not autonomous. Those assembled conditions also have no intention of generating. It generates, so who generated it? There is also no intention. Whether one desires to call it "lord" or considers it to be "self," that "self" wants to be the producer, but it does not arise by deliberately thinking. If it does not exist before it is produced, then what is it that wants to be produced at that time? It is always distracted by objects and is not something that will cease. If that "self" is permanent, then like space, it is clearly without action. Even if conditions meet with others, what is there to do with something that does not change? Even when acting, it is the same as before, so what does the action do to it? This is its action; what kind of connection is there? Thus, everything is under the control of others, and because of its control, it itself is not autonomous. If one understands this, one will not become angry at all things that are like illusions. If someone asks, what should be prevented by what? Preventing is also not reasonable. Relying on it, wanting to cut off the continuum of suffering is not unreasonable. Therefore, whether it is an enemy or a friend, if you see them doing unreasonable things, it is because of such conditions.

Has become, thinking like this, feel happy in your heart. If everything could be accomplished as one wishes, no one would want to suffer, then all sentient beings, no one would have suffering arise. Due to carelessness, oneself also harms oneself, being hurt by thorns and the like. In order to obtain women and the like, one threatens, fasts, and so on. Some hang themselves, jump off cliffs, eat poison and unsuitable things, and with non-virtuous actions, there are those who harm themselves. When one is controlled by afflictions, one even kills the pitiful self, at that time, how could they not harm other beings? Due to the arising of afflictions, one engages in such actions as killing oneself, if vast compassion does not arise, then what is so strange about being angry? If it is said that harming others is the nature of children, then it is not right to be angry with them, just like blaming fire for having the nature of burning. Or, the fault is sudden, the nature of beings is good, even so, it is not right to be angry, just like blaming the sky for having smoke. Using objects such as sticks, if one is angry at the thrower, that is also being driven by hatred, if there is a fault, one should be angry at hatred. In the past, I have done such harm to sentient beings, therefore, sentient beings harm me, this is only natural. His weapon and my body, both are the source of suffering, he uses the weapon to take it out of my body, who should one be angry at? A boil that looks like a person, difficult to touch and full of pain, if I grab it out of desire, then who should one be angry at for harming it? Children do not want suffering, but crave the cause of suffering, being harmed by their own faults, what is the use of blaming others? For example, the guards of hell and the forest of razor leaves, these are all created by one's own karma, who should one be angry at? Driven by my karma, those who harm me appear, since this is the case, haven't I thrown these beings into the depths of hell? Relying on these, I accumulate many sins with patience, relying on me, they will suffer for a long time and fall into hell. I am the one who harms them, but they are helping me, to what extent is it upside down!
