As when going to sleep, one should lie down facing the direction of desire. With mindfulness, quickly generate the thought of rising, and apply it from the very beginning. The conduct of Bodhisattvas is spoken of as immeasurable, but among them, the conduct of training the mind should definitely be practiced as such. Three times during the day and night, one should purify the three aggregates of sins, and by relying on the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, it will pacify the remaining downfalls. Whether one is acting under one's own control or under the control of others, whatever one does, wherever one is, one should diligently train in whatever has been taught as something to be learned in that situation. There is nothing that the sons of the Buddhas should not learn, and for a wise person who abides in this way, there is no merit that does not increase. Whether directly or indirectly, one should not engage in anything other than benefiting sentient beings. For the sake of sentient beings alone, one should dedicate everything to the attainment of enlightenment. One should always rely on a virtuous spiritual friend who is skilled in the meaning of the Great Vehicle and whose Bodhisattva vows are supreme, and one should not abandon them even for the sake of one's life. From the biography of Glorious Emergence, one should learn the way to rely on a guru as it is taught. This and other teachings spoken by the Buddha should be understood by reading the Sutra Pitaka. The trainings appear in the Sutras, therefore one should read the Sutra Pitaka. The Sutra of the Essence of Space should be viewed from the very beginning. Why? Because it extensively reveals what should always be practiced. The Compendium of Trainings should also definitely be read again and again. Or, one should read the Compendium of Trainings, which is a brief compilation of all the Sutras. The two works composed by the noble Nagarjuna should also be diligently read. Whatever is not prohibited, that should be practiced. In order to protect the minds of the world, one should see the trainings and practice them well. One should repeatedly examine the state of one's body and mind. In short, that is the nature of guarding mindfulness. These things should be practiced with the body. What is accomplished by merely uttering words? Does merely reading medical texts benefit those who are sick? The Fifth Chapter, Guarding Mindfulness, from Engaging in the Bodhisattva's Conduct, is complete. All the virtues accumulated over thousands of eons, such as generosity and offerings to the Sugatas, are destroyed by a single instance of anger, it is said. Like anger

There is no sin like anger. There is no austerity like patience. Therefore, diligently in patience, Meditate in various ways. If you hold a mind of the pain of hatred, The mind will not experience peace. Joy and happiness will not be obtained, Sleep will not come and become unstable. Those who with wealth and respect, The kindness given depends on that, Those are also with hatred, The lord chief also rises to kill. He makes friends sad, Even if gathered by generosity, they do not rely on him. In short, anger dwells in happiness, That is not at all. The enemy of anger and those, Sufferings will be done. Whoever strives to destroy anger, He is happy in this and other lives. Unpleasant things and pleasant things, Obstacles made if happened, Getting unpleasant food, Hatred grows and destroys itself. Therefore, I must purify that, The food is completely destroyed. Thus harming me, There is nothing else for this enemy. Whatever happens to me, Happy The mind is not disturbed. Unpleasant deeds do not succeed, All virtues will decline. If it can be remedied, What is the use of being unhappy with that? If it cannot be remedied, What is the benefit of being unhappy with that? Me or my friends, Suffering contempt and harsh words, Unpleasant words are not desired, The enemy is the opposite of that. The cause of happiness sometimes arises, The cause of suffering is very numerous. Without suffering, there is no renunciation, Therefore, your mind should be firm. Intolerable hunger and thirst and stinging, Burning and cutting and other feelings, Meaningless endurance for liberation, Why didn't I do it before for the sake of meaning? Habituation does not easily become, There is nothing that thing. Therefore, by habituating small harms, Great harms should also be endured. Mosquitoes and gadflies and, Feelings such as hunger and thirst, Accompanied by scabies and so on, Why don't you see meaningless suffering? Cold, heat, rain, wind, etc., Disease, bondage, beating, etc., I am not squeamish and do not endure, If that is the case, the damage will increase.
