If the essence is not seen, why still cling to the form? You protect this body, but you cannot eat impure things, nor can you drink blood, nor can you suck on the intestines and stomach, what use is the body to you? If this body becomes old, is it reasonable for foxes and vultures to protect it for the sake of food? This body of all people is ultimately to be used. Even if you protect it like this, the merciless Lord of Death will snatch it away and give it to birds and dogs, what can you do then? Servants cannot be used, nor are clothes given, even if you feed this body, it will leave you, why do you nourish it in vain? After giving it wages and rewards, now let it do its own thing! Do not give everything to this useless thing. Just as a tool for going and coming, regard the body as a boat, in order to accomplish the benefit of sentient beings, transform it into a wish-fulfilling body. Thus having autonomy, always maintain a smiling face. Completely abandon angry faces and frowns, be friendly and honest with sentient beings. Do not throw away beds and other items casually, making noise. Do not open the door violently either, always be humble, restrained, and happy. Like water birds, cats, and thieves, sneak silently, accomplish what you desire, the wise should always act like this. Be good at persuading and encouraging others, do not speak uninvited words, respectfully take it on the head, always be a student of everyone. For all the good words spoken, say "Well said" to express it. When you see someone doing good deeds, use praise to generate joy. Praise their merits in secret, and after praising their merits, rejoice. If you speak of your own merits, know that this is to let others understand the merits. All actions are for happiness, even if it is difficult to buy with money. Therefore, enjoy the happiness brought by others' good deeds. For me, there is no value in this life, and there will be great happiness in the next life. Sins will bring displeasure and suffering, and there will also be great suffering in the next life. When speaking, be sincere, relevant, clear in meaning, pleasing to the ear, abandon greed and anger, and speak gently and moderately. The eyes should be...

When looking at sentient beings, one should also think like this: "It is by relying on these sentient beings that I will become a Buddha." One should look at them with honesty and love. One should always be encouraged by intense desire or by antidotes. One should do good and benefit, and turn great virtue to those who suffer. Having become skillful and capable, I shall always do all the work. In all activities, one should not rely on any other. Generosity, the perfection, etc., should be practiced with higher and higher qualities. Do not give up the great for the sake of the small, and think mainly of benefiting others. Having known this, one should always dwell in diligently seeking the benefit of others. The compassionate one, with foresight, should also allow all prohibitions. One should give food to the fallen, the helpless, and those who live in ascetic places. One should eat a moderate amount of food, and give away everything except the three Dharma robes. The precious Dharma is the body of practice, and should not be harmed for the sake of trivial things. If you do this, the intentions of sentient beings will be quickly fulfilled. Before the intention of compassion is purified, one should not abandon this body, and one should try to make this body in this life and in other lives, become the cause of accomplishing great benefit. Do not teach the Dharma to those who are disrespectful. Do not teach those who wear hats, wrap their heads, carry umbrellas, carry sticks, carry weapons, and cover their heads. Do not teach the profound and vast Dharma to the inferior, and do not teach women without men. One should practice all inferior and superior Dharmas with equal respect. A vast vessel of Dharma should not be used for inferior Dharma. Do not completely abandon the discipline. Do not seduce with sutras and mantras. When discarding toothpicks and saliva, cover them. It is bad to throw things like urine and other things that are used in water and on the ground. Do not eat with your mouth full and making noise, and do not eat with your mouth open. Do not sit with your legs stretched out, and do not rub your hands together. Do not share rides, bedding, or dwellings with other women. Those in the world who have no faith should be seen and asked about and abandoned. Do not point with your fingers, but with respect, with your right hand, and the way should be shown in the same way. Do not move your hands too much, but move them slightly and make a sound, and make a sign with a cymbal, etc., so that you will not be bound by others. The Protector entered Nirvana
