Through that which enters into the sutras and so forth, all conditioned things are momentary, all phenomena are without self, all cessation is peaceful. Thus, it does not contradict the three natures of reality. Even though I have passed away, you should hold that it is what the Buddha said. The third place also abides without contradicting the nature of reality. In conventional truth, the three places are taught as possessing momentariness and selflessness. To contradict the nature of reality is to not acknowledge that it was spoken by one who has exhausted faults. If asked, how can one be certain that this very characteristic of the words of one who has exhausted faults was spoken by one who has exhausted faults? It is because it is logical. That which speaks of reason in all places is one who has exhausted faults, and that is sufficient as it comes along the way. Thus, since the words of the noble Nagarjuna are established as valid, it is certain that the prophecy is true. Therefore, it is reasonable to ascertain the true nature of reality through the teachings spoken by him, through the means of treatises that are not inverted. Furthermore, the defining characteristic of the main point, emptiness, is that it is not harmed by direct perception or inference. Because it is not deceptive, it is not deceptive to others, even those who are extremely hidden. Therefore, it is a valid source of knowledge. For that very reason, it is said that because it is not deceptive about the main point, inference is also the same for others. Because the words are established as being non-deceptive, the speaker is also established as being valid. Thus, the means by which wisdom arises has been explained. Now, in order to explain the vessel that demonstrates emptiness, he spoke of "dependent arising" and so forth. The term "fruitful" refers to how true dependent arising is, because it is unborn. Therefore, to teach it is to call that which has the fruit of understanding by that name. Because of prior habituation, the seed of emptiness is in the mindstream, and the cause of particularly aspiring to emptiness is in the mindstream of those who have it. Therefore, the treatise should be taught to them, because they are habituated to other births and quickly give rise to a particular aspiration for emptiness. "Not others" means that those who have not been habituated in the past and have not placed the seed of emptiness in their mindstream should not be taught. If asked, to others

Why not expound the treatises that reveal emptiness? Therefore, it is said, "Those are emptiness," and so on. "Those" refers to others. "Having a mind that has entered wrongly" means having the thought of scolding emptiness from the perspective of focusing on objects, wondering how those objects that have become objects of focus could be emptiness. Or, having the thought of scolding emptiness, which is without origination from the beginning, after realizing that objects are of the nature of annihilation. "Because it possesses great non-meaning" means that because one does not understand the meaning of emptiness, which is the non-existence of objects, one will definitely go to the lower realms by the path that is deprived of the holy Dharma. In order to explain this in detail, it is said, "Sometimes," and so on. "Unwise" means not knowing emptiness as it truly is. "Abandoning emptiness" means from the point of view of being attached to objects. "The meaning of emptiness is non-existence" means wrongly determining that the meaning of emptiness is to denigrate cause and effect. "Denigrating all things" means denigrating cause and effect, and so on. Therefore, in the Root Wisdom Treatise, it is said: "Like a snake that is difficult to grasp, Or a mantra that has not been properly practiced, A wrong understanding of emptiness, Destroys inferior wisdom. Knowing that this Dharma with inferior wisdom, Is difficult to realize, Therefore, the Able One, for the sake of the Dharma, Kept his mind in a state of equanimity (of not teaching)." Thus it is said. "Especially to determine the difference of faith" means to determine the difference of faith in emptiness. "Difficult to determine" is because it is difficult to understand the entry of others' minds. "In order to closely show the reason for that" is for the purpose of showing the reason for the difference of special faith.
