There are three types: focusing on sentient beings in the place of practice through faith; focusing on the Dharma from the first bhumi up to the seventh bhumi; and from the eighth bhumi onwards, there is no focus. Compassion also has three aspects: focusing on sentient beings who are suffering; focusing on sentient beings who engage in many misdeeds; and focusing on sentient beings who have not been liberated due to incomplete conditions. Joy also has three aspects: focusing on sentient beings who possess happiness; focusing on the completion of one's own accumulations; and focusing on the play of the sacred Dharma. Equanimity also has three aspects: focusing on those who are suitable and unsuitable for benefiting sentient beings; focusing equally on worldly phenomena such as gain and loss; and focusing on appropriate and inappropriate times for the sake of completing the accumulations. The so-called mind endowed with loving-kindness refers to showing the qualities themselves. The so-called vastness and so on refer to showing the qualities. Among these, there are three qualities: namely, greatness, oneness, and harmlessness. Among these, greatness has three aspects: namely, intention, increase, and object. Among these, the greatness of intention is shown by the term "vast." The greatness of increase is shown by the term "becoming vast." The greatness of the object is shown by the term "immeasurable," because it focuses on immeasurable sentient beings. Because it is without discrimination and has the aspect of singular love, it shows the oneness of self, therefore it is said to be "not dual." Because it is the antidote to harmful thoughts, it shows the inner self as being free from harm done by Dharma, and is called "without that." Showing the absence of harm done by external sentient beings is called "without equal." For that very reason, it is said to be "without obscuration." The so-called "without harm" is because there is no harm done by external objects. The so-called "pervading all" is because it also includes friends, ordinary people, and enemies. The so-called "pervaded by the realm of Dharma" is because it is the nature of emptiness. The so-called "reaching the limits of the sphere of space" is because it pervades the ten directions. That very thing.

Now, to show extensively means to accomplish and abide by pervading the world with all that is possessed. 'As before' means to combine with 'vast and extensive' and so on. However, compassion, joy, and equanimity are not antidotes to harmful thoughts. However, compassion is the antidote to harming, joy is the antidote to displeasure, and equanimity is the antidote to anger and subsequent attachment. The five superknowledges are: the superknowledge of miraculous powers, the superknowledge of the divine ear, the superknowledge of knowing others' minds, the superknowledge of remembering past lives, and the superknowledge of the divine eye. Therefore, in order to show the superknowledge of miraculous powers, it is said, 'For example,' and so on. 'He experiences various kinds of miraculous actions' is a brief presentation. 'The earth also shakes' and so on is an extensive presentation. 'Wall' means the wall of a house. 'Fence' means that which surrounds the house. 'Holding with the hand' means understanding. 'Touching everywhere' means completely entering. 'Controlling with the body up to the world of Brahma' means that he also holds and touches everywhere the palace of the world of Brahma. In order to show the superknowledge of the divine ear, it is said, 'The realm of the divine ear,' and so on. 'Pure' means hearing completely clearly. 'Transcending humans' means transcending human sounds, hearing sounds down to the Avici hell. 'Subtle' means completely unclear. 'Vast' means completely clear. In order to show the superknowledge of knowing others' minds, it is said, 'He with other sentient beings,' and so on. Because some are completely known as sentient beings and some are completely known as persons, it is said, 'other sentient beings' and 'other persons.' Or it refers to showing and explaining.
