These will be explained below. "Words exhausted" means whatever has been spoken. "Discipline" means possessing discipline. "Following" means immediately after the words of generosity. "The Victorious One's explanation" means "defeating all sinful dharmas," because all sinful dharmas and afflictions are abandoned. In order to prevent generosity and other virtues from being wasted, generosity and the like are virtues themselves. Not wasting it means that by the power of discipline, one is born in a good realm, and when enjoying the fruits of generosity, one will also give generosity. "The continuity of cause and effect" and so on, means that when enjoying the fruits of generosity, one also gives generosity, the accumulation of fruits will increase, and the long-term enjoyer will approach enjoyment. "Born from speech" refers to the Hearers, because they are born relying on others' teachings. "The cause of relying on these" means the meaning of the mind of motivation. "Majority" and so on, if the motivating mind is very strong, it will become the cause of hell; the medium will become the cause of animals; and the small will become the cause of the world of pretas. "Two kinds of fully ripened results" refers to the result of the same cause. "Becoming a common enjoyment" means that because it is shared with others, there is no autonomy. "Retinue unreliable" means that his retinue is also unreliable. "Becoming a wife accompanied by enemies" means that his wife will also commit adultery with others. "Many accusations" means speaking much of others' faults. "Servants discordant" means separating from each other. "Servants become bad" means that violent and other people become his retinue. "Hearing unpleasant sounds" means hearing the sounds of tigers, lions, and non-humans. "Becoming words of strife" means that at all times there will be words of strife with others.

transformation. "Indecisive flattery" means that one's words are not firm. "Not knowing contentment" means not being wealthy and being mentally distressed by obtaining little. "Great desire" means desiring wealth and abundance in things not yet obtained. "Not seeking benefit" means not generating the thought of benefiting others. "Others will cause harm" means that others will harm him with beatings and the like. "Up to the peak of existence," the word "between" should be taken to include the six gods of the desire realm, the four dhyanas, and the three formless realms. "There will be birth" indicates that this is the cause of higher realms. To show that it is the cause of definite goodness, it is said after that, "After that," and so on. "After that" means after taking up the ten paths of virtuous actions. "A partial mind" means that one has not fully understood the selflessness of phenomena, which has already been explained before. "A mind fearful of the three realms" indicates the cause of not having great compassion. "Following what is heard from others" is explained as following sound. "With the aspect of wisdom" means with the nature of discriminating, with the aspect of emptiness. "That which is cultivated by it" is what is close to being indicated. "The vehicle of the Hearers" means that here, because of desire, it is a vehicle, namely, nirvana. The words "following what is heard from others" indicate the difference from the Solitary Realizers. The words "without great compassion" indicate the difference from the vehicle of the Bodhisattvas. "After that," and so on, "having fully cultivated" means cultivating more than that, which becomes the cause of abandoning the conceptualization of what is apprehended. Thus, if one fully cultivates the ten paths of virtuous actions, one will accomplish the vehicle of the Solitary Realizers, and it should be connected in this way. How is it? By understanding the profound dependent origination, that is, the dependent origination with the nature of emptiness.

After understanding dependent arising. Among them, there is only a method to abandon the clinging to the object of perception, but it is not a complete realization of the profound dependent arising. Because understanding profound dependent arising is something that Bodhisattvas possess. It is said, "Without great compassion and skillful means," etc. Great compassion itself is the skillful means for doing things for the benefit of others. If one is separated from it, one mainly does things for one's own benefit and only uses miraculous powers to benefit others. In the Hearer Vehicle, there is also an understanding of profound dependent arising. In order to refute it, it is said, "Not seeking others." Not seeking others means not seeking the path from others. Why is that? It is said, "Attaining complete enlightenment oneself," because one directly realizes the path oneself. Why is that? It is said, "Self-arising and in accordance," because in other lifetimes, due to the power of familiarizing with the path, wisdom arises spontaneously and in accordance. Therefore, it is said not to rely on others. In order to know it, it is said, "If here," etc. Regarding "Extremely vast and immeasurable loving-kindness," it is vast because it focuses on emptiness, and it is immeasurable because oneself is emptiness. It is said, "Possessing great compassion," etc., because one possesses great compassion that focuses on the Dharma and is without focus. Therefore, it is said, "Gathering with skillful means," emptiness and great compassion themselves are skillful means, because they do not cling to sentient beings and liberate them from suffering. It is said, "Making great aspirations," this is showing that one possesses Bodhicitta. In order to show it in detail, it is said, "Not abandoning all sentient beings, and focusing on the extremely vast wisdom of the Buddha," thus, in order to benefit beings, may I attain Buddhahood. These words are showing that one does not abandon sentient beings,
