That which removes the impurity of that garment, extracts the essence, washes it, changes its color, makes it into a Dharma garment, and wears it, that is (rag robes). An Aranyaka is a monastery far from towns and cities, and dwelling and sleeping in the forest, etc., that is (Aranyaka). A tree-dweller is one who dwells and sits at the root of a tree. Uncovered is a place without a roof. A cemetery dweller is one who dwells in the place where corpses are transported. One who always sits and does not lie down is one who sits on a small bed or a mat of grass and wood and spends time, not relying on piles of grass and wood, walls, or pillars, etc. One who uses whatever seat is available is one who spreads a grass mat or a leaf mat and lies down, that is, one sleeps in the same way as it was first spread, and does not change it later. Why is it called the merit of abandonment? For example, wool or cotton, when it is not combed, because it is not sticky or not sticky, it cannot be woven, but it can be woven after it is combed, similarly, because of attachment to alms, Dharma garments, and bedding, the mind cannot be made serviceable, but through the merit of abandonment, it can be made serviceable, therefore it is called the merit of abandonment. The explanation of contemplating with attachment is that it dwells in the ego-grasping and the I-thought, that is (attachment). Among them, ego-grasping is: I am virtuous. I-thought is: This discipline is mine. Therefore, if there is a strong attachment to the nature of discipline, then that is a broken discipline, because it is not virtuous. Things and non-things, etc., in the word "etc.", should include truth and falsehood, permanence and impermanence, etc. From others, that refers to ordinary beings, etc., other than Bodhisattvas. Extremely great, because it is the cause of higher rebirth. In order to show that it becomes the basis of all perfect qualities, because if one is born in a good realm, qualities such as faith will not arise. Discipline is a foot, discipline itself is a foot, because it is the method of going to a good realm. Decline
