In order to teach, it is said such as "the reason for saying so." Such as "when the Buddha appears," etc., according to the reason for teaching as such, the nature of the Tathagatas, etc., arises from the teaching, therefore the Sage arises. If the self-born Buddhas arise with wisdom, why say that the Sage arises? It is not so, although the self-born Buddhas arise with self-born wisdom in these births, even so, without hearing the teaching in other births, the self-born wisdom cannot be accomplished, therefore they also arise from the Sage. In order to teach the connection of words such as Buddha, etc., it is said again such as the Lord of the Sage, etc., which is easy to understand. The Buddha is born from the Bodhisattva, which means that the stage of the Buddha arises directly from the stage of the Bodhisattva, and the Bodhisattvas truly encourage their own nature with the mind of becoming a Buddha, therefore it is shown that the Buddhas arise from the Bodhisattvas. To this, in order to show the refutation of others, it is said such as "if," etc., which is easy to understand. In order to show the answer, it is said "this is true," it is true that Bodhisattvas arise from the Buddha's teaching. If this is true, why not admit it? The answer to this is, it is said such as "however," etc., however, it means showing the difference, meaning that what you said is different. In order to show the difference, it is said such as "with two causes," etc., with two causes, etc., is a brief statement. Such as "the difference of stages," etc., is a detailed statement. Among them, such as "from the difference of stages," etc., is an extremely detailed statement. The meaning of this is that the stage of the Buddha immediately appears after the stage of the Bodhisattvas, therefore the difference of stages exists only in the Bodhisattvas, and most Buddhas are first encouraged by the Bodhisattvas.

Therefore, Bodhisattvas give rise to Buddhas, that is its meaning. In order to show the conclusion, therefore, it is said "therefore" etc. "Therefore" has two reasons. "The ultimate of the fruit" means attaining Buddhahood. "Considering the primary cause" means because of considering Bodhisattvas as the primary cause. "Tathagata" etc. is easy to understand. Because Tathagatas arise from Bodhisattvas, in order to show that Buddhas praise Bodhisattvas, therefore it is said "for that very reason" etc., that is, for that very reason, those Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, praise Bodhisattvas, this is related. Why? Because the cause is perfect, so it is said "because it is the most solid". Because of the temporary difference and correct encouragement, Bodhisattvas are the perfect cause of Buddhahood. Moreover, it is the most solid, because without it, Buddhahood itself would not be accomplished. In order to show the second necessity, therefore, it is said "from the cause" etc. Here also, because it is driven by the meaning of offering from the cause, therefore it will be shown that offering to the fruit, this is related. Among them, offering to the cause is offering to the Bodhisattva, and offering to the fruit is offering to the Buddha. In order to show the third necessity, therefore, it is said "great medicinal tree" etc. "Great medicinal tree" refers to a tree from which medicines such as haritaki arise, it is called a great medicinal tree. Although it is a tree, it has no fruit when it is dry, in order to negate this, therefore it is said "seeing sprouts" etc. Although it has sprouts etc., but also like some Taraka, it is also seen that there is no fruit, in order to negate this, therefore it is said "giving immeasurable fruits". The meaning here is that just as it gives immeasurable fruits, just like a medicinal tree, one strives to protect it.

Therefore, the stage of a Bodhisattva can also bestow the fruit of Buddhahood, which possesses immeasurable qualities. In order to know that one should guard it with great effort, the Buddhas praise the Bodhisattvas. In order to show the four necessities, it is said, "At that time," etc. The so-called "At that time" refers to the time when the Bodhisattvas are praised. The so-called "near" refers to those who are seated nearby. The so-called "aggregate of beings placed in the three vehicles" refers to the collection of beings connected to the paths of the Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas. The so-called "the Great Vehicle itself" refers to the path that leads to the city of non-abiding Nirvana. That is also great because it possesses seven greatnesses. The seven greatnesses are: object, accomplishment, wisdom, diligence, means, attainment, and activity. Among them, the greatness of the object is that it focuses on the immeasurable Dharma taught in the Sutras such as the Hundred Thousand Verses. The greatness of accomplishment is that it accomplishes all the benefits of oneself and others. The greatness of wisdom is that it completely understands the selflessness of persons and phenomena. The greatness of diligence is that it engages in hundreds of thousands of hardships for three countless eons. The greatness of means is that it does not abide in Samsara and Nirvana. The greatness of attainment is that it realizes immeasurable and countless Buddha's unshared qualities such as the ten powers and four fearlessnesses. The greatness of activity is that it follows the deeds of the Buddhas, such as manifesting enlightenment until Samsara is empty. Therefore, in the Ornament of the Sutras, it is said: "The object is vast and likewise, the two accomplish what is to be done, diligence arises and wisdom, skillful means and likewise, attainment is vast and likewise, the Buddha's activity is extremely vast, because it possesses these vastnesses, it is said to be the Great Vehicle." Thus it is said. The so-called "in order to definitely connect" means in order to encourage. The meaning of this is, when the Bodhisattva
