It transcends the grounds of beings in various places. It has already been explained before that it transcends the grounds of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas. The meaning of "Thus Come One" and so on is that all dharmas are seen as equal to the sphere of space. In order to explain the abandonment of the three pervasive afflictions, "at that time" and so on, "because of directly seeing the selflessness of the person" means directly seeing the selflessness of the self that is falsely imputed by the Tirthikas, such as permanence, which is different from the aggregates, and therefore the view of the collection of destructibles is reversed. Among them, the view of the collection of destructibles is of two kinds: arising from manifestation and arising simultaneously. These have also been explained before. Here, by the power of the occasion, the one arising from manifestation is reversed. Because the selflessness of the person is directly seen, therefore there is no doubt. Because there is no doubt, there is also no holding of morality and asceticism as supreme for those who have the characteristic of relying on other paths. The so-called "for the sake of not being born again" means that even if only abandoned, there is also birth, such as plagues and so on. The meaning is that even if these three pervasive afflictions cease, there will be no birth. In order to show it from the point of view of cessation, the so-called "not seeing the truth" and so on, the so-called "not seeing the truth" means not seeing the selflessness itself. The so-called "not the other" means seeing the truth. Now, in order to explain "having the joy that turns into supreme bliss," it is said, "asked for certainty" and so on. Certainty is the path of seeing. The so-called "obtaining the qualities of its cause" means obtaining the qualities of hundreds of thousands of samādhis, etc., which are the cause of the path of seeing. The so-called "free from the faults of the incompatible aspects of the ground" means being free from those faults that should be abandoned by the path of seeing, which have become incompatible aspects of the Joyful Ground. The so-called "uncommon" and so on are easy to understand. Having thus shown the four qualities, in order to show the qualities of realization from above to above, the so-called "ground surpassing ground" and so on.

Having mentioned actions and so on. The phrase "suppressing from ground to ground" means starting from the first ground and suppressing the second ground and so on, up to the Buddha's ground. The phrase "will completely go upwards" means that at that time, one will become a non-virtuous person who is born in hell, hungry ghosts, animals, and so on. The phrase "all the grounds of individual beings are exhausted" means that the grounds of non-conscious beings, Uttarakuru, those born in the Great Brahma, and those who act according to their desires are all exhausted. In order to dispel the doubts of the Shravakas, and in order to show it through examples, it is said, "How is the eighth noble one shown?" The eighth is counted upwards, and the eighth is entering the stream-enterer's fruit, and saying stream-enterer is because the result is established on the cause. Then, just as the Shravakas say the eighth, so too is the Bodhisattva in this situation. Just as the noble Shravakas who have entered the stream will no longer fall into the lower realms, and the places of egg-born, moisture-born, and transformation-born, as well as Uttarakuru, non-conscious beings, those born in the Great Brahma, eunuchs, hermaphrodites, and those with two sexes, and the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, etc., will become the nature of not being born, and obtaining the undefiled qualities of the path, etc., so too should it be understood here. There, Bodhisattvas, due to the power of karma, the lower realms, etc.

In order to strive to eliminate faults and feel exhausted through various means, one will not overcome another from one ground to another. Therefore, it is mentioned here, "How to understand," and so on. Even if one practices the Dharma that has been understood, how can one overcome others if one does not strive to eliminate subtle afflictions? Therefore, "the second ground, etc." is mentioned, because when entering the first ground, one obtains unprecedented joy, thus overcoming the second ground, etc., bringing great joy. Through two reasons, the principle of overcoming from ground to ground is proven. In order to explain what was said at that time, "All the paths of evil destinies here will be cut off," therefore, "In short," etc. is mentioned. Among them, the cutting off of the paths of evil destinies and the exhaustion of the grounds of ordinary beings are shown through the metaphor of the stream-enterer. The so-called "from the realization of the noble Dharma" refers to starting from obtaining the path of seeing corresponding to the Shravakas. The so-called "free from faults" refers to being free from falling into evil destinies, etc. The so-called "merits will arise" means that Nirvana will be attained within seven lifetimes. As such, etc., because it is easy to understand, it will not be repeated. Having thus proclaimed the three merits of overcoming from ground to ground, cutting off the paths of evil destinies, and exhausting the grounds of ordinary beings, in order to show the merit of overcoming the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, therefore, "This Bodhisattva," etc. is mentioned. "This" refers to the one who first generates Bodhicitta. In order to show its superiority, in "Sage," etc., "Sage's speech-born" refers to the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas of the Sage. Their masters are the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. His language is the Dharma. What arises from that is the Shravaka, because self-arisen wisdom arises for the Pratyekabuddhas. The so-called "overcoming and increasing by the power of merit" is because, for immeasurable realms of sentient beings, for immeasurable times, one cherishes immeasurable thoughts of benefit and happiness. The power of the Bodhisattva's merit.
