Furthermore, here too, there is general establishment, and specific establishment is to be done. That which is not attained and not perceived, also, "Not from self, not from other." (Tibetan: རང་ལས་མ་ཡིན་གཞན་ལས་མིན།) And so on, it is established only by negating the self-nature of things. Thus, son, what is called the enlightenment of the Buddha is to be called enlightenment only by emptiness, which is characterized by the non-perception of all phenomena. What is said is not so, which means that enlightenment is not like that which is conceived as real by conceptualization. Thus, after establishing enlightenment as the nature of emptiness, in order to show the fault of accepting enlightenment as real, quoting suppressing by the power of the best, and so on, saying this mind should generate Bodhicitta, is showing the aspect of generating Bodhicitta. Where we, and so on, is showing the nature of attachment to enlightenment, those should not be called Bodhisattvas, because with arrogance, there is attachment to reality, therefore there is no Bodhisattva with the characteristic of emptiness of all phenomena. If it is said, what is called Bodhisattva, how is it said? The answer is that they are called arising beings, which means that for these, the thought of being attached to reality arises, so it should be said to be arising mind. Why is that? It is said why does the thought of being attached arise? To this, the answer is given by saying that it arises like this, and so on. For that, the arising and the attachment to the mind are shown by the words of the mind that should generate Bodhicitta, which was shown earlier. Attachment to enlightenment is shown by the words that enlightenment exists. If it is said, if enlightenment is the nature of reality, then what is the fault in being attached to it? To this, the answer is given by saying that enlightenment is also without characteristics, which is to show. Explaining that is saying that it is separated from the nature of characteristics, because all phenomena are without self-nature. Who follows in this way

The term "bodhi" means that understanding all dharmas as being without characteristics is called bodhi. And that understanding is precisely that all dharmas are without objects of focus. Furthermore, "it is not as it is said" is the same as before. In order to briefly show the name of a bodhisattva, it is said, "Overpowering with excellent strength, those dharmas," etc. One who subsequently understands the nature of all dharmas as being without characteristics is called a bodhisattva. It is not only that one with manifest attachment is not called a bodhisattva, but also, in order to show that they are far from the bodhisattva grounds, it is said, "Overpowering with excellent strength," etc. "Not knowing this dharma" refers to the aspect of hearing. "Not subsequently understanding" refers to the aspects of thinking and meditating. "Knowing" means claiming, that is, claiming oneself to be a bodhisattva. "Being far from the bodhisattva grounds" means being far from the Joyful Ground, because there is no path of seeing due to inverted views. "That which is far from the dharmas of a bodhisattva" means that giving, etc., which are completely pure in the three spheres, will become distant, because attachment causes giving, etc., to become inverted. In order to show the fault of deceiving gods, etc., it is said, "Thus, that," etc., because due to inversion, one who is not a bodhisattva claims to be a bodhisattva. In order to show the fault that everything will become bodhisattvas, it is said, "Overpowering with excellent strength, at that time, merely with words," etc. "Merely with words" refers to the aspect of words that are empty of the meaning of a bodhisattva. It is said, "Overpowering with excellent strength, this," etc., which is easy to understand. Thus, after showing the benefit of the initial generation of bodhicitta, which is merely obtaining the name of a bodhisattva, other qualities that are characteristic of being born into the lineage of the Tathagatas will be shown.
