It is desired to gather (consciousness) from one (being) to another and to summarize it in (the same) realm. The term "with a basis" means having a cause. The term "that" refers to the previous place. The remainder refers to remembering things with a cause, that is, all those things mentioned in the sutras or any other aspects that are remembered are remembered with a cause. In order to show the necessity of power, it is said, "With this power," and so on. The meaning of "to show that there are miracles" is that because he knows whether or not he has the power of previous causes, he teaches the Dharma in accordance with it, so teaching the Dharma is with fruit. In order to show the source of the sutra, it is said, "As it is said," and so on. The meaning of "Thus teaching the Dharma" is following the previous cause. The Tathagata also fully understands the past flow of consciousness. In order to show this matter in detail, it is said, "With what mind," and so on. In order to show that this complete knowledge is infinite, it is said, "How much is it," and so on. The meaning here is that the Tathagata fully knows the stream of consciousness that cannot be expressed, which is transmitted from one sentient being to another like the sands of the Ganges River, that is, he knows the stream of consciousness that is beyond the scope of language. In order to show again that there is no limit, it is said, "Even if the ultimate limit is shown," and so on. That is, even if the Blessed One were to show the last stream of consciousness of samsara, even so, this knowledge of remembering previous places would not become limited by showing it. If samsara has no limit, then how can one speak of the last limit? The answer to this is, it is said, "Fully examine and approach," that is, the meaning is to examine that samsara has a limit. The term "inconceivable" is because it is not the object of the minds of other Bodhisattvas. The term "incomparable" is because others besides the Tathagata do not have such wisdom. The term "immeasurable" means that it cannot be measured by numbers.

Because it cannot be done directly. In order to show that. Saying "That limit is not easy to show" means this much. Saying "Becoming the best among Buddhas" is because the Buddha has fearlessness. Saying "Aiming at that and that root of virtue" means thinking in the mind about creating the root of virtue for the Buddha and so on. Saying "Becoming irreversible" means from Bodhi. In order to show the ninth of the ten powers of the Tathagata. Now it is said "Now" and so on. In "The power of knowing death and rebirth," death is the destruction of the aggregates. Rebirth is the continuous combination of the aggregates. This is just an approximate example, and one should also understand destruction and arising, etc. For those, the unobstructed knowledge is power. Saying "Dwelling in the world" means existing in the realm of the world. Saying "Until the edge of the sky" means infinite, because the sky has no edge. Saying "Many manifestations" is because various forms are produced by various actions. Saying "For that" refers to death and rebirth. Saying "Entering in an instant" means in one instant. In order to show that by explanation. It is said "Death and rebirth" and so on. Saying "The continuous combination of aggregates" means taking rebirth again. Saying "The karma itself is made of very many kinds" means that the karma itself is a creation of very many kinds, and everything that is done by it. Saying "His wisdom does not cling to any object" means that because he is omniscient, there will be no obstacles to anything. In order to show that knowing death and rebirth is just an approximate example. The Blessed One said "For arising and destruction" and so on. Arising refers to the arising of sentient beings and the vessel world. Destruction refers to the destruction of sentient beings and the vessel world. By the sound of "etc.", abiding should be understood. For "everything also", the explanation is "nothing is incomplete". In order to show the source of that sutra. It is said "As it is said", saying "Pervaded by the Dharma realm" is because it has the nature of emptiness.
