Therefore. The so-called "having characteristics" refers to being attached to things. The so-called transformation of "following tolerance" refers to the tolerance of definitely believing in the Dharma through the stages of warmth and peak, etc., and its nature is the realization that all dharmas are unborn. The so-called "abiding in regret" refers to feeling remorse for committing sinful deeds. The so-called "mind becoming extremely tamed" refers to becoming suitable for virtuous deeds. The so-called "not a place and no opportunity" etc., is because it is impossible to attain the position of a universal monarch and the position of Indra, etc., with only a female body. The so-called "completely reversing and combining" refers to being born as gods and humans through discipline and becoming beautiful through patience, etc., which should be reversed and combined. The so-called "this is the first deed of the Tathagata" refers to the first deed among the thirty-two marks, and the first power among the ten powers. In order to show the second power, it is said "that is" etc. In the so-called "desire and non-desire, contrary to this", the so-called "desire" refers to good. The so-called "non-desire" refers to non-virtue. The so-called "contrary to this" means that it is neither solely good nor solely non-virtuous, but a mixed state. Therefore, the commentary says that the explanation of "contrary" is "pleasant and unpleasant karma." The so-called "inexhaustible true karma" refers to being inexhaustible and is the cause of attaining Nirvana, so it is inexhaustible karma. The so-called "that" refers to the three types of karma. The so-called "Vipāka" refers to having the nature of good and bad destinies. The so-called "extremely complex" refers to the extremely complex differences between gods, humans, hells, etc. There, whatever wisdom enters should be combined and understood as power. So, what is wisdom like? It is said "ability is unobstructed", because no unfavorable aspect can suppress it. In order to show that wisdom is not just one aspect, it is said "pervading the knowable of the three times", because it knows the karma and Vipāka of the three times. In this regard, the commentary

In order to clarify this, (the scripture) says "Karma, pleasing" and so on. Regarding "the maturation of that maturation," the uncontaminated karma is not moistened by the water of existence, therefore there is no maturation, so it is said "three kinds of maturation." "Maturation is extremely complex like karma" means that maturation is also complex like karma. "Also pervades the entire world" means that karma and maturation pervade the entire world. Regarding "completely knowing one's own nature and detailed classifications, etc.," it means completely knowing the nature and classification of karma and maturation, and through the word "etc." it includes the complete understanding of time, etc. In order to point out the source of the scripture, (the scripture) says "As it is said" and so on. "All karmas" refers to virtuous and non-virtuous deeds such as prostrations. "Karmas that have been truly taken" refers to those not included in vows. "Place" and so on refers to where what karma was done, what is the cause of the karma, the nature of the karma, and what is the maturation of the karma. "The wise" means that the extremely complex maturation itself is the wise, and this is again indicating the subject from the perspective of the object, because the wise themselves understand the extremely complex maturation. "Born from a virtuous cause" means possessing causes such as non-attachment. "Away from virtue" means away from attachment, etc. "Producing a virtuous cause" means that it will leave a habit of producing virtue. "Karma that has been truly taken" refers to killing, etc. "Born from a non-virtuous cause" means born from causes such as greed. "Away from virtue" means away from non-greed, etc. "Producing a non-virtuous cause" means that it will leave a habit of producing non-virtue. "Karma that has been truly taken" refers to karma with characteristics such as meditation. "Becoming compatible with the part of decline" means being compatible with the arising of afflictions, that is, due to its power, one will fall to a lower level.
