The cause that will definitely arise is said to be the place of that effect, because that effect exists in that cause. 'Those who know that' means those who know that place. 'The non-place contrary to what is said' means that from which cause which effect will not arise, that is the non-place. 'The knowable is limitless' means that because cause and non-cause are limitless, in order to show the definitive term by power. 'Abandoning obstacles' is spoken because it is not overwhelmed by inconsistent aspects. In order to show it by commentary, 'From which cause' etc. are spoken. 'This is an approximate representation' means representing from which one does not obtain which. In order to show that, 'Therefore' etc. are spoken. 'Therefore' means because it is an approximate representation. Regarding 'Nirvana', Nirvana should not be the result, because the cessation of separate examination and Nirvana with the nature of Dharmakaya are not reasonable as results. In 'such and so on', the word 'etc.' should also include the cessation of non-separate examination. 'That place of the being' means that the cause of that effect is the place. 'Because it exists here' means because the effect exists in this cause. 'In the manner of examination' means that worldly people examine and think that there is no effect in the cause. 'When the path of seeing is obtained, the eighth existence will not manifest and be accomplished, like that' means that if the stream-enterer obtains it, the sutra says that there are seven existences, so the eighth existence will not manifest and be accomplished. 'Separated from inconsistent aspects' means that what this wisdom knows is just like that, not otherwise. 'In order to show the source of the sutra', 'As it is said' etc. are spoken. 'In the place, one also thoroughly knows the place as it is' means knowing the cause as the cause itself. 'In the non-place, one also thoroughly knows the non-place as it is' means knowing the non-cause as the non-cause itself.
