The form body, since it is not to be known by the nature of reality, it cannot be fully understood by it. Thus it is said. The meaning of this is that, merely by seeing the form body, or merely by hearing the sound, thinking that I have seen the Tathagata, I know. Those sentient beings who think like this have entered the wrong path in order to eliminate the karmic obscurations that hinder seeing the Buddha, because they enter respectfully from that (wrong path), so those people have not seen me, and will not see me in the future either. If one thinks that merely seeing the hair of the form body will not see the Buddha, but thinks that this is in accordance with seeing the Buddha. Then, at that time, one will be able to see me, but if one is attached to not seeing, then how can one see at that time? Seeing its nature of reality, that is seeing the Buddha, because that (nature of reality) and it (Buddha) are of the same taste. The self-nature of the Dharmakaya, that nature of reality, cannot be comprehended by ordinary individuals merely by seeing forms and hearing sounds. Ultimately, it is not even completely pure, because if that were the case, the knower and the known would disappear. Therefore, the Buddhas are the nature of reality. Saying this, not seeing all dharmas is also seeing the Buddha. Therefore, it is also said in other (scriptures): For all there is no difference, but in those who have become suchness, in order to proclaim the Tathagata, all those with karma are those with heart. Thus it is said. Therefore, the Bhagawans are the self-nature of the Dharmakaya, so there is no possibility of annihilation. If one thinks that wisdom will be annihilated, that is also unreasonable, even if it is annihilated, the Bhagawans are the self-nature of the Dharmakaya, so there is no annihilation. What harm will there be to us? Furthermore, if wisdom initially had self-nature, then later it would be said that it is annihilation arising from annihilation. However, since it has no self-nature from the beginning, what will be annihilated? Thus it is said: What is there to abandon in this? There is nothing to add to this. Seeing reality as reality, having seen reality, one is liberated. Thus it is said. Therefore, wisdom has no annihilation. The benefit of sentient beings will also not be annihilated, because the Sambhogakaya and

It is because the incarnate body has perfected the benefit of beings. This will be explained later. Because the Blessed Ones have the power to abandon habitual afflictions and obscurations of knowledge, they are established as having abandoned habitual afflictions and obscurations of knowledge. If it is said that they have not completely abandoned them, and that the Blessed Ones have retained ignorance by the power of compassion, from where is this said? "Afflictions not burned," etc., are the words of the maker, not the meaning of the sutras. Or, the meaning here is that you have not burned the afflictions, not made them perish, because the afflictions have no inherent existence. However, because you have understood that the afflictions have no inherent existence, you abandon them like cutting grass. Therefore, there is no contradiction. If it is asked, what is the establishment of the five wisdoms made to the Blessed One, and how is that reasonable? To this, an answer should be given: When, by the power of the Dharmakaya, from the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya, due to the power of past aspirations and the merit of sentient beings, the appearance of teaching the Dharma in accordance with the five wisdoms arises for the disciples, at that time, the disciples will completely think that the Blessed Ones possess the wisdom of the extremely pure Dharmadhatu. Just like this, when the Dharma that accords with the extremely pure Dharmadhatu is taught, at that time, it will be thought that the Blessed One possesses the wisdom of the extremely pure Dharmadhatu. When it appears that they can completely know sentient beings and other things, at that time, it will be thought that the Blessed One possesses mirror-like wisdom. When it appears that they can show the equality of self and others, etc., at that time, it will be thought that the Blessed One possesses the wisdom of equality. When it appears that they can show the behavior of sentient beings, etc., at that time, it will be thought that the Blessed One possesses discriminating wisdom.
