It is also said, "It does not abide for a moment." The statement "Past and future do not exist" means that the past and future do not exist in the present time, and in their own time, they will disappear just like the present, so the past and future are not existent. The statement "Where they are not visible" means that in the three times, the three times such as the past are not visible. That is called invisible. The statement "Called invisible" means that at any time, the past and so on are not visible, so it is called invisible. The statement "Invisible" refers to the time of the nature of the three times. The statement "It is empty by its own essence" means that these three times are empty by the nature of the three times. The statement "Not permanent, not destroyed" is the same as before. In order to explain it through commentary, "past" and so on are said. The statement "Where" refers to in time. The statement "Invisible" means that because it is invisible, it is invisible to the three times. The statement "Invisible is empty" means that it is empty by the nature of the three times. In order to show the selflessness of things, "born from conditions" and so on are said. For things, there is the nature of aggregation, because there is a collection, so any nature that arises is not real. Why? The answer is: "Born from conditions" is said, that is, born from the power of cause and condition. That is to say, self-nature is not produced from causes and conditions. There it is shown that "arising does not exist." The statement "That aggregation itself is emptiness" refers to aggregation, that is, the nature of the collection. Moreover, it is also produced after obtaining the collection, so it will not become self-nature, so it is non-thingness. Therefore, the sound of non-thingness expresses the things that arise from the collection, and that which is empty by its own nature is called the emptiness of the nature of non-thingness. The sound "aggregation" represents all things that arise from the collection. In order to explain it through commentary, "aggregation is" and so on are said. The statement "produced from aggregation" means that because it arises when there is a collection, it is produced from aggregation, which is a synonym for fruit.

If aggregation has no essence, what is it? The answer is: it is nothingness. It is said that the result is the nature of nothingness. Having thus extensively explained the sixteen emptinesses, in order to briefly explain the four emptinesses, first, in order to explain the emptiness of things, it is said, "The sound of things is," and so on. It is said that because it arises, the sound of things, in brief, refers to the five aggregates. "Those" refers to the five aggregates. "That also" refers to the nature of the five aggregates. In order to explain the emptiness of non-things, it is said, "In brief," and so on. Because it does not arise, the sound of non-things refers to uncompounded things such as space. "That itself" refers to the uncompounded. "Non-thing, that emptiness" refers to the nature of the uncompounded. There is no fault of repetition, because it was explained extensively before, and here it is explained briefly. In order to explain the emptiness of self-nature, it is said, "Self-nature," and so on. Self-nature is the nature of phenomena, and its essence does not exist, that is, emptiness, which is called the emptiness of self-nature. Why is the nature of phenomena called self-nature? The answer to this is, "For example," and so on. In order to explain the emptiness of other things, it is said, "The Buddhas are," and so on. The sound of "other" refers to the meaning of excellence, whether the Buddhas appear or do not appear, because emptiness exists, emptiness is called excellent among all things, because it possesses the characteristics of non-fabrication and so on. Other things, if not examined, are only pleasing. Emptiness is called the ultimate truth, because all phenomena are exhausted in it. "Suchness" means remaining constantly and unchangingly in such a way. Suchness is the emptiness of things. It is said that other things are emptiness, therefore, what is empty is the emptiness of other things.
