It is liberation. Thus it is also said: "Knowing that nature in this life, Although nirvana is not attained, Without effort in another life, It will surely be obtained like karma. When the complete Buddhas have not appeared, And the Shravakas are abundant, The wisdom of the self-Buddha, Will enter without mixing." Thus it is said. "Being free from all attachment and clinging" means being free from all manifest clinging to desire, grasping, and attachment. "Not bound by the former limit" means that liberation has the nature of emptiness, and therefore is not related to past time. "Not moving to the latter limit" means that it does not move to future time either. "Not abiding in the present time" means that it does not abide in the present time either. In order to extensively explain what was previously said about being free from all clinging, it is said, "eye," and so on. "Being liberated from clinging to the duality of eye and form, etc." means being free from the manifest clinging to the duality of thinking of eye and form, etc. Therefore, in liberation, there is no conceptualization of eye and form. "Being liberated from clinging to the duality of ear, etc., and mind and dharma," means being free from the conceptualizations of ear and sound, nose and smell, tongue and taste, body and touch, mind and dharma. In order to show the concluding summary, it is said, "liberated from the place of clinging to manifest clinging," etc., which means not becoming a support for clinging to eye and form, etc., and things. In order to show the nature of the Tathagata's liberation, it is said, "the mind is naturally luminous," etc., which means that because the mind is unborn from the beginning, it is the nature of emptiness, and therefore is not stained by the defilements of the afflictions, so the mind is naturally luminous. Thus, whatever is known in an unapprehendable way by the very nature of natural luminosity is liberation. "Therefore" means that liberation is spoken of as the wisdom of the mind's natural luminosity. With the wisdom possessed by a single moment of mind.

The earth refers to: mind and wisdom with the nature of a single moment. Being called "manifestly and completely enlightened to unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment" is because it is free from obscurations and the indivisible suchness, so enlightenment is manifestly and completely attained in a single moment. In order to show the thirteen unshared qualities of the Buddha from the perspective of the sutras, "son of the lineage" and so on were spoken. In order to show the fourteen unshared qualities of the Buddha from the perspective of the sutras, "son of the lineage" and so on were spoken. Being called "teaching the Dharma that has fruit" means that if the Tathagata teaches the Dharma without wisdom preceding it or wisdom following it, then at that time it will become fruitless; if it is not like that, then teaching the Dharma is with fruit. Being called "prophesying annihilation" means that whatever is prophesied about something, it will become like that and will not become something else. Being called "speaking extremely certain words" means speaking words that have meaning. Being called "making all know" means correctly showing the inconceivable realm of Dharma. Being called "making each know" means correctly showing conceivable generosity and so on. Being called "not arrogant" means not becoming afflicted by praise. Being called "not base" means not becoming afflicted by disparagement. Being called "unwavering" means teaching the Dharma without concealment. Being called "not garrulous" means clearly pointing to the meaning. Being called "following the measure of space" means that just as space is limitless, so too is the speech of the Bhagavan. Being called "possessing all supreme aspects" means possessing the qualities previously shown and so on. Being called "possessing sixty branches" means possessing sixty aspects such as making all know and making each know. These should be understood from the *Tathagata Secret Sutra* and the *Ornament of the Sutras*. In order to show the fifteen unshared qualities of the Buddha from the perspective of the sutras, "furthermore" and so on were spoken. The Tathagata is something that can be spoken of with the mind.
