Na, because of abiding in this, one abides in the absence of afflictions. The so-called "absence of I" and "absence of grasping at what is mine" is because there is no manifest attachment to self and what belongs to self. Precisely because of this, it is said "without taking," because there is no view of the perishable aggregation of the nature of taking closely with the view of self. The so-called "separated from all deceit" is because there is no deceit, that is, there are no these afflictions. Therefore, the so-called "therefore" is because of abiding in the absence of afflictions, and so forth. The so-called "how" is as before. In order to show the third unmixed Dharma of the Buddha from the perspective of the sutra, "son of lineage" and so forth are spoken. The so-called "to any dharma" refers to some dharmas from among the aggregates and so forth. The so-called "to all dhyanas, liberations, samadhis, and samapattis" refers to the four dhyanas, the eight liberations, the samadhis such as the Treasury of Space, and all the samapattis from the first dhyana to the cessation samapatti, the Tathagata is not forgetful. Regarding "observing the conduct and movement of the minds of all sentient beings," the conduct of the minds of all sentient beings refers to desire and so forth. Movement refers to entering into objects in accordance with desire and so forth. The so-called "observing these" means seeing, the Tathagata is not forgetful of these. The so-called "showing the Dharma appropriately" means showing the Dharma in accordance with the conduct of desire and so forth. The so-called "meaning" and so forth refers to the various correct knowledges that will be explained, the Tathagata is not forgetful. The rest is as before. In order to show the fourth unmixed Dharma of the Buddha from the perspective of the sutra, "son of lineage" and so forth are spoken. The so-called "obtaining the supreme of profound samadhi" means that the profound samadhis reach the ultimate peak. The so-called "practicing meditation without obscuration" means meditating on meditation without outflows. The so-called "except for the blessing of the Tathagata" means that without the blessing of the Tathagata, one cannot know; if the Tathagata

It is said that one knows at the moment of receiving the blessing. Therefore, it is said that the Buddha, through his power, fully knows all the conceptualizations of the mind, and so on. In order to explain the fifth unshared Dharma of the Buddha from the perspective of the Sutra, it is said, "Son of good family," and so on. The so-called "different perception" means that there is no different perception of the self in samsara and nirvana. In order to explain the reason for this, it is said, "Because by nature there is no self." Because all dharmas are empty of inherent existence by nature. The so-called "Dharmadhatu is mixed" refers to the Dharmadhatu that has the characteristic of emptiness. For this very reason, it is said, "Because of knowing equality," because the object of focus is the same, so is the wisdom. The so-called "no different perception of dharmas" means that there is no different perception of the dharmas of the Hearers and so on, and of the Sutra Pitaka and so on. The reason for this is that it is said, "Because it is the nature of detachment," because all have attained detachment from the three realms. In order to explain the sixth unshared Dharma of the Buddha from the perspective of the Sutra, it is said, "Son of good family," and so on. The so-called "no unexamined equanimity" means that there is no equanimity without investigation. To ask the reason for this, it is said, "Why is that?" The answer to this is, it is said, "The Tathagata," and so on. When the Blessed One cultivated which path, he abided in equanimity, because he had completed what needed to be done, so he placed the path in equanimity. Having explained it briefly in this way, in order to explain it in detail, it is said, "Likewise," and so on. After cultivating the wisdom that views all dharmas as emptiness, one abides in equanimity. The equanimity of the Tathagata is endowed with wisdom, and because he knows the nature of all dharmas as emptiness, he abides in equanimity towards them. For this very reason, he is beyond the world, and does not fall into the world, it is said, "Just as worldly people should take and abandon."
