Made it. In order to answer this question, it was said, "By what power?" etc. The so-called "By what power?" is the Dharma-nature. The so-called "Whether it arises or does not arise," means that if the Tathagatas were to create that Dharma-nature, then at that time the Tathagatas would change from arising and not arising, from being and not being. Because it is they who create it. Whether those Tathagatas arise or do not arise, the Dharma-nature is the only one that exists. The so-called Dharma-nature, that is to say, whatever is the Dharma-nature's own nature of all dharmas, that is what exists. For those who ask without understanding the self-nature of Dharma-nature, it is said, "What is this so-called Dharma-nature?" Explaining the self-nature of Dharma-nature, it is said, "It is the self-nature of the eyes, etc." Because the self-nature is still not understood, the question is, "If you ask, what is the self-nature of those?" To this, the so-called "those" refers to the eyes, etc. The answer to this is, "These are," etc. The so-called "these are" refers to the eyes, etc. The so-called "not artificial" means that it is not artificial, like the warmth of water. The so-called "not dependent on others" means that it is like borrowing ornaments from others, because it depends on others, so it has not become a state of not having autonomy. In order to show that only the noble ones can understand, it is said, "Ignorance," etc. Asking whether that self-nature exists or does not exist, it is said, "Does it exist?" The so-called "it" refers to what should be realized by the wisdom of the noble ones. In order to answer this question, it is said, "Saying no," etc. In order to prove that it exists, it is said, "If it does not exist," etc. The so-called "will cultivate the path to the other shore" refers to cultivating the path with the characteristics of giving, etc. The so-called "like that" refers to the method of reaching the other shore through giving, etc. In order to point out the source of the scriptures, it is said, "As it is said," etc. The so-called "non-cessation" refers to the Samkhya school's

It is not like wanting to merge into a drop of water in a water bag. "Without destruction" means destruction without any remainder. "Is to be expressed by letters" means by a collection of words. "Letters cannot be fully described" means by a collection of languages. "It is not conceptualized by elaboration" means that it is not the object of discrimination. In order to show the conclusion of the ending, it is said, "Son of the lineage, as it is," and so on. "Unspeakable" means that it is not the object of words and language. "Peaceful" means that it is not the object of the elaboration of discrimination. "For whose sake" means for the sake of the true ultimate. "To truly believe" means not for the sake of attaining higher realms, but for the sake of attaining Buddhahood itself. "Homeless" means staying in a solitary place such as under a tree. "Like striving and abiding as if one's hair or head is on fire" means that just as when one's hair or head is on fire, people strive to put out the fire very quickly, so too, one strives to attain the true ultimate. "Without complete destruction" means that whether the Tathagatas appear or do not appear, they remain as they are. "In the Brahmacarya" means that Brahma is Nirvana, and whoever practices it, that is Brahmacarya, and that Brahmacarya is the path to liberation. "The appearance of the Tathagatas would become meaningless" means that the Tathagatas appear for the purpose of showing the true ultimate. The statement that there is no fault in admitting that there is a true ultimate is, "It is said here," and so on. "Alas, Mama La" means surprising and unpleasant. "Anyone who does not want anything at all," and so on, refers to the Madhyamaka, which does not want anything at all, because it is said, "There is and there is not, and there is both, and there is no side for anyone." In order to answer it, it is said, "It should be said," and so on, the intention of the treatise is ignorance.
