The term "to be explained" refers to the divisions of emptiness. Among them, regarding the emptiness spoken of in relation to the eye and so on, in order to show that it is not as those who assert the existence of external objects and the Mind-Only school believe, therefore it is said, "Those." "Those" refers to the occasion when the eye and so on are spoken of as emptiness. The term "emptiness by the eye and so on themselves" means that the eye and so on are empty by their own nature, but not because of being separated from the internal agent (Pudgala). The statement "emptiness is not when one does not depend on one" means: "One," that is, the eye and so on, "one does not depend on one," is the internal agent (Pudgala) emptiness? Or, "one," that is, the eye and so on, "one does not depend on one," that is, emptiness by the reality of the grasped and the grasper, which is not as those who assert the existence of external objects and the Mind-Only school believe. Thus, after showing the internal emptiness, in order to show the external emptiness, therefore it is said, "Those external emptiness is," and so on. "Those" refers to within emptiness. "External emptiness is" means that external emptiness will be explained. In order to explain it, therefore it is said, "Because of what," and so on. The statement "form is empty by form" means that form is empty by the nature of form, but not from the perspective of one not depending on one. "Its" refers to the nature of form, that is, that which is empty by the nature of form. "How form is included in the external sense bases and does not belong to sentient beings, it is external emptiness, similarly, sound and so on are also external emptiness," in order to show this, therefore it is said, "Sound and so on," and so on. Sound and so on are empty by the nature of sound and so on, because their (sound and so on) nature is like that. Because the selflessness of phenomena such as form is the nature, therefore the selflessness of phenomena such as form is considered to be external emptiness. In order to indicate the source of the sutra, therefore it is said, "As it is said," and so on, "As before" refers to

Depending on the very nature of not abiding and not decaying, form and so on are without inherent existence, not the emptiness of one without the other, as previously explained. Similarly, the following should also be understood. In order to explain the emptiness of both inner and outer, it is said, "Both" and so on. "Both" refers to outer and inner objects, which are the bases of the senses such as the eye. These belong to sentient beings and are objects of other people's visual consciousness, and are therefore included in the outer sense fields. In order to show the source of the sutra, it is said, "As it is said" and so on. In order to explain emptiness of emptiness, it is said, "All phenomena" and so on. All phenomena are all conditioned and unconditioned phenomena. Their lack of inherent existence is called emptiness. And that emptiness itself is empty by the nature of emptiness, because it is established in relation to things that are not emptiness. Therefore, the emptiness that has the characteristic of no self-nature, the emptiness of that emptiness is called emptiness of emptiness, because there is no nature of emptiness whatsoever. In order to show the need for this, it is said, "Emptiness, things, intelligent" and so on. This is said in order to dispel the clinging to things of those who cling to emptiness as real. In order to explain it from the point of view of the source of the sutra, it is said, "As it is said" and so on. If emptiness, which has the characteristic of emptiness, is the emptiness of all phenomena, then what is the difference between the characteristic of emptiness of emptiness and the emptiness of all phenomena? The answer is, it is said, "That emptiness" and so on. In order to show the source of the praise of this very meaning by the noble Nagarjuna, it is said, "As it is, all concepts" and so on. In order to destroy all conceptualizations, it means for the sake of abandoning all conceptualizations. He showed the nectar of emptiness.
